20/9/2017 08:27 | There's a lot of excitement within the company about Portugal, especially Reservatorio. And to think they have a mining licence! | ged5
20/9/2017 08:08 | SAV started this lithium drilling in portugal on 27th JulyAGQ started their lithium drilling in Mexico on 24th julyLooks like news window is open.... | apfindley
20/9/2017 08:01 | GEd, Thanks chap. May not post here very much but this is an excellent company. I bought in when they announced commencement of drilling in Portugal as lithium is very hot and only gonna get hotter the next years. Someone tipped these on the KOD thread I think. With the other assets here I don't believe there's anything in the cap at present for the lith assets which makes these another one of the AIM lithium must haves. Regards, Ed. | edgein
20/9/2017 07:51 | Welcome Edgin! I've read your posts on EOG and CERP, where I have holdings. | ged5
20/9/2017 07:46 | Well if this doesn't get the share price moving, what will? JORC by end of year. Results of Metallurgical Test work by end of year Open pit mining And OH,those grades David, your best RNS for some time. | ged5
20/9/2017 07:37 | Damn fine intersects from Portugal to get 36m mineralisation is excellent, this could gradually form into a very large discovery as its still open. The JORC by end of the year should make interesting reading. Regards, Ed. | edgein
19/9/2017 19:48 | Yeah! Undervalued, loads of potential, great assets, overdue news from Oman and expected drilling results from Portugal. | ged5
19/9/2017 16:47 | 400,000 buy something up and nearly million vol | theblackbaron
19/9/2017 15:16 | Are they good? :) | ged5
19/9/2017 15:02 | Volume come back looks likes news on asseys soon lads | theblackbaron
19/9/2017 13:13 | Post 97 made me chuckle BW. All those points dismissed as chaos. I like it! Good points from you both about the processing plant. I suppose I should do some research on them. I note some comment about a sell recommendation elsewhere. Although it's good to see a buy recommendation, unless it's backed up with sound reasons, I see any subsequent spike as an opportunity to sell. The reasons for today's sell recommendation are so spurious, that I can only imagine it's only been published to help someone to buy. Perhaps they expect readers! I expect news in the next 8 days. Whether the board are busy preparing interims or travelling in preparation for reports from elsewhere, we'll soon find out! | ged5
16/9/2017 11:43 | Further positive articles from Marin Katusa extolling the virtues of buying EV raw material companies, and in the FT, Blackrock's Evy H looking at increasing his lithium holdings in amongst the smaller miners. With Governments and car producers falling over themselves to declare all things electric and pumping funds into this new world, backed with proposed and coming legislation, it could not be a better backdrop to the expected news from Portugal and Oman. My waters tell me this week should see something but I am just an ever hopeful and invariably wrong. | inbrackets
14/9/2017 12:05 | down today and stuck in a downward channel from late June and that can be seen in the small top right chart above. Without any ground breaking news due near term (unless Oman) then there is solid support at the 4p level (main chart above). Interesting article below on Porsche looking to develop solid state batteries for their future electric cars rather than the heavier Lithium ion ones. hxxps://www.autocar. I've recently wondered if lithium is just the current hot news thing and maybe being overplayed as seemingly the one and only direction for batteries. It reminds me of how graphene was the next big thing about 3 years ago for semi conductors and yet that story seems to have died away into the background somewhat. Certainly lithium supplies will need to increase, but it just whether a new kid on the block appears technology wise and as a major competitor to lithium batteries? Anyway - just need Oman as the short term trend breaker, but I'm personally prepared for maybe a drift to the low 4's in the next month on lack of any newsflow. | seagullsslimjim
11/9/2017 22:47 | BW. Hi. If you are talking about the pilot plant, that is barely enough to do anything. It will need to be much, much larger to process what is targeted on an annual basis. | inbrackets
11/9/2017 22:17 | Plant preparation picture on Twitter looks impressive. Huge. | broncowarrior
11/9/2017 22:14 | Wouldn't worry chaos, people just getting bored. Plenty of news in the next few months I'm sure. | broncowarrior
11/9/2017 10:53 | Thanks for your thoughts IB. Hope you're enjoying your holiday. That was the point I was trying to make. A JORC resource with a mining licence. We seem to have one or the other but not both. It's the mandates that I don't understand but we certainly need further institutional backing to support Al Marjan's holding. I presume it was Portugal you had in mind when giving your thoughts. A reminder of what DA said from 26th June: "Savannah's CEO, David Archer said: "We are delighted with these results as they confirm that a high-grade, low impurity spodumene concentrate can be produced using conventional, well understood processing techniques. Furthermore, based on the quality of the results, we believe that our spodumene concentrate is likely to be highly sought after by manufacturers of battery grade lithium." Also on the website:- "Furthermore, initial preliminary metallurgical test work indicates that a clean, high quality spodumene product (over 6% Li2O) can be produced from the mineralised rock." | ged5
10/9/2017 19:40 | Ged, hi. Home thoughts from abroad. A JORC resource is but a first stage, a first rung of the ladder, but it doesn't guarantee mining, so really would not be a banker that anything would happen thereafter. Ii's would be looking for more info than that and may be constrained by their mandates before jumping in. They can show their interest though, as I am sure some have. The next round of real information may well take us over the hurdle, and that I am sure will be soon. | inbrackets
10/9/2017 12:47 | Sorry Yorkie, there's another one for the filter! You're right Nick there have been some big sells in the latter part of the week. With the sells and the lack of upward movement in the share price one starts to re-evaluate investmennts. A visit to the assets pages on the website quickly reminds you why we are here. 3 tremendous assets in Oman, Mozambique and Portugal, with Finland lurking in the background, presumably waiting for income from at least one of the 3 others. So why any selling? The threat from North Korea is hardly likely to affect a junior explorer, more the main indices. Anyway if it does escalate then flight to safety is hardly an option. Solar flares are affecting satellite communications not mining. Hurricanes and earthquakes are deeply distressing and our prayers and sympathy goes out to all effected but they are not near our assets. In Oman, the Sultan's poor health is a concern and the threat of escalation of the Saudi-Yemeni war is a worry. In Mozambique corruption seems to be on the agenda with an investigation into Credit Suisse and the missing $500M. The countries debt also seems to have been understated. With Madonna now residing in Portugal and Suzy Cortez(Miss BumBum) backing them for the World Cup, what could possibly go wrong there! None of these things should unduly affect the share price. Maybe uncertainty about the interim results which were announced last year in September. No, I don't think so either! The problem with the share price IMO, is that we need more institutional buying. Now I don't know much about the "ins and outs" of institutional buying but if I was a fund manager I would want evidence of mining licences and JORC resources. And that brings us back to the Assets website page. Oman mining licence and resource update could be announced any time. We do have a JORC resource In Mozambique we first need the EIA which is due anytime. Again we have a JORC resource. In Portugal we need the assay results which would then lead to a JORC resource. The irony is that we have the mining licence! So frustrating times for holders, but with several factors, which could influence institutional buying, there is the potential IMO of a significant rise. Giving a time scale, however, is a waste of time since so much is dependent on newsflow. On re-evaluation I am more than happy with my investment and look forward to more prosperous times with SAV. Thoughts anyone? | ged5
09/9/2017 10:21 | HNR - TWO wells successfully drilled with abundant oil and gas in samples extracted! Fracking and FIRST OIL next month! Don't miss this train! | happyholder123
08/9/2017 10:29 | 3 tweets in 3 days. Todays is an article about lithium: "Rest assured, Earth has the lithium. The next dozen years will drain less than 1 percent of the reserves in the ground, BNEF says. But battery makers are going to need more mines to support their production, and they’ll have to build them much more quickly than anyone thought." | ged5
07/9/2017 15:25 | Big sells today??? | nick9013
07/9/2017 09:00 | Yet another tweet this morning with a picture: Project pilot plant site preparation complete in readiness for concrete foundations and assembly. Being kept informed! | ged5
06/9/2017 20:42 | Matt Chamberlain Chief Exec of LME was talking on Sky News earlier. Expects to launch Lithium exchange within next 12-18 months. He talked about the "strong automative story". Besides the battery metals he specifically mentioned COPPER and Aluminium. So Mr Archer what have you got lined up for us? | ged5
06/9/2017 17:12 | Just posted this as part of a post on the JAY thread after one of the intelligent posters, who does some good research compared JAY with our Mutamba resource:- At the moment JAY has a JORC of 23.6Mt at 8.8% ilmenite SAV has 4.4 billion tonnes at 3.9% THM (Mainly ilmenite but also the more expensive zircon and rutile) JAY has an upside of 130Mt at 6.3-8.4% ilmenite which is 17% of the resource so 765Mt SAV has 7-12 Billion tonnes at 3-4.5% THM JAY has 2 other assets in Greenland and 3 projects in Finland. SAV has a 1.7Mt resource at 2.2% copper in Oman, a project in Finland and a project with a mining licence for Lithium in Portugal. (Look out for the assay results in the near future) JAY 132.55M mkt cap SAV 28.77M mkt cap | ged5 |
