Savannah has been a very dependable source of gas supply in Nigeria during the COVID-19 crisis. We have stepped up production to help ensure a reliable supply of gas is available for power generation during the country’s lockdown. #SAVP #COVID19 #EmployeeWelfare #WorldHealthDay

New tweet from savp

We are conscious of the issues COVID-19 poses. To date, our operations remain unaffected and we continue to monitor the situation closely, so we can continue to operate the business while keeping ourselves and our loved ones safe. #SAVP #COVID19 #EmployeeWelfare #WorldHealthDay ;

Are these guys sitting on bad news , or are they just a bit inept in running a O & G. company .

This virus does not seem to like the heat. I reckon it will die down in the uk in the summer and then back in the fall.

Have been in worse holes than this company , so why are the BOD sitting on their hands and looking at their navel ?

Next update is when exactly , do they have cash issues ?

Lots of answers required .

I see the main drum beater here Zengas has managed to find a hole in the ground and hide from his fiction.

Can you imagine the media reaction here in the UK if Boris adopted the same behaviour over this Covid-19 pandemic?

How badly run is this company?

It has a wall of debt, share price decimated, rumours abounding....what do we get? Total silence on current cash and operating position, silence on impact of COV19, silence on Niger CPR, silence on reports that Nigerian Govt defaulting on payments due...is this due to incompetence of the CEO, or supreme arrogance? Or is it more sinister, are they hiding something ? I sold out taking a big hit so yes, I am looking at this with extreme scepticism. I'd like to buy back but not tempted atm as I can see 5p on the cards at this rate.

but thats every industry in every country, retail, air, pubs, hotels. Savp revenue has world bank protection, it can reduce capex, mothball Niger and see out this virus. Of course no one can predict the bottom but China is on the way back, we just need Italy to show improvement and hope and a bit of confidence will return.

Good point, I'm starting to feel the squeeze due to the economic situation. Think I'll stop paying my bills, that'll sort it. Problems solved, easy.

But Nigeria's economy is dependent on oil. Now maybe SAVPs gas customers are unaffected and you'd like to hope so. But if the government has problems paying its bills you can imagine the possible knock-on effects.

Never thought otherwise itcf.

Just thought it might be part of the reason for the pre-panic malaise in the share price

Useful update on the other board covering the spurious nature of the article linked to above. In short SAVP happy that due process was followed.

Looks like an aggrieved small shareholder throwing dummies. Dont see it getting any traction. Would most definitely have had legal advice and the process/purchase sanctioned.
