Hi Tiers, Many many years ago I was a devotee of Buffett. Around that time my daughter worshipped Buffy the vampire slayer. My wife once referenced my investing idol, and mistakenly called him Buffy. I decided to choose the self deprecating handle Buffythebuffoon and didn’t always sign off with Buffy, but some people chose to call me BtB. I didn’t want to lose the Buffy so always used that sign off. Now it’s so automatic I don’t even think about it. Cheers, Lol...

And from a year earlier in AEI re Asian links again - Are there any connections to the Upstream report of Asian Conglomerates being interested 5 months ago and to this a year earlier in AEI and Savp connections. Socar/Socar Trading would definitely be Asian ie part of the Azerbaijani national oil Co. From 16-10-18 "The British junior developing its deposit in the Agadem zone has well-heeled shareholders close to Baku. According to our sources, Turab Musayev, an executive of Azerbaijani group Socar's Genevan trading arm Socar Trading, holds shares in British firm Savannah Petroleum, the latest competitor to join Niger's offshore playing field. While Musayev's stake in Savannah may now be a mere 0.1%, which he owns via his private equity firm Luzon Investments, he has backed the company since its beginning in 2014. As well as its Nigerien blocks, R1, R2, R3, R4, Savannah is also active in Nigeria where it bought Seven Energy's assets. Turab Musayev's brother Taleh Musayev also holds shares in Savannah via his firms Aralia Capital and Peleng Holding Corp. Taleh Musayev's share of the firm has reportedly fallen from 9% to around 2.5%. Taleh Musayev has known Savannah founder and chief executive Andrew Knott for over a decade. They were colleagues at corporate bank Merrill Lynch for a spell and in 2013 cofounded Lothian Oil & Gas Partners, which provided the oil and gas junior with financial and administrative support when it was sent up in 2014. It is said that Lothian Oil & Gas Partners no longer works with Savannah. Socar Trading is a wholly owned subsidiary of Azerbaijani national oil and gas firm Socar, headed by Rovnag Abdullayev. The latter is a MP of the ruling party and part of President Ilham Aliyev's inner circle. In a press release posted last September, Savannah announced it was in talks with a mystery Genevan trader, which it did not wish to name, to raise $50 million (AEI 825). When contacted, Savannah Petroleum declined to disclose the trader's identity."

5 month since this was reported in Upstream. ONGC Videsh India mentioned amongst Asian conglomerates as potential farm in partners. Subscripton based - Quotes a "A well placed industry source." Partners sought are "large independents and national oil companies" with tech/finance clout. "Asian Conglomerates" said to be interested, "May include Indias ONGC Videsh which was close to finalising a farm in deal a few years ago" (with Savp). "You can assume that is a name Savannah will be revisiting this time around" a source. Could farm out up to half its stake (a source). Farm out process aided by Geo consultancy Merlin Energy Resources likely to last between 3-6 months. (We do know it started a while back) 'Situation changed with the pipeline deal - now much much more attractive to potential faminees.' "Interest has increased since the pipeline deal (said a source). It's looking like a very healthy process". https://www.upstreamonline.com/weekly/savannah-seeks-niger-partner/2-1-685340

Fair play Stockport. Back to the drawing board. Miton haven’t sold a single share. Miton Asset Management Limited 85,524,292 8.58% I was wrong so looking elsewhere I can only think it’s the bond holders as you said!

Just musing.....could AK and the rest of the BOD be happy to see this drift down further then do an MBO at a modest premium?...….say somewhere between 15p-20p.....it's odd how quiet and unsupportive of the share price they've been as the share price has fallen off a cliff.....

yes, I sold at 27p on RNS day, once it didnt start to move i was out as the new shares were going to probably effect. I started buying circa 21p thinking that 20p looked the bottom, it was for a while but then i think PIs started to bail which pushed us down further. I do look at the 50m off the book trade in December at 20p, they must have seen upside from there, if i lose they will lose a lot more, so will AK. At some point it will be in all stakeholders interests for the share price to rise

Looking back to the RTO conclusion, it seems all so obvious that this market reaction would occur.

Nothings fact till its in a RNS, dont get me wrong the continual drift on no news is a worry, but anything fundamentally impacting the company has to be communicated anyway, are Miton selling? No evidence, there microcap fund has just taken more in Zen so hardly having to sell off. I think its quite simple, 120m shares were issued in November to note holders who dont keep equity. That kind of overhang takes time, and if all are selling there's probably another 20m to go

The Scheme Price represents a premium of approximately 34.1 percent to the Closing Price of 4.1 pence per Sirius share on 7th January 2020, this being the last Business Day prior to the commencement of the Offer Period. This is from the Sirius Minerals offer. Citing a 34% premium but only after the price dropped 80%. Could we see a low ball offer coming?

I sincerely hope not! When they get news they should release it, they are no longer a Micky Mouse outfit. If they want to be priced accordingly they should up their comm's game! (I think I've made myself clear here, so I myself will p?ss off for a while. The thing about the markets is that there are so many choices out there. Savannah need to up their game so that they clearly become investible.)

It's possible (although not cricket) that they could be sitting on some (positive) news whilst awaiting Miton to finish selling?....otherwise the positive impact expected on the share price would be kiboshed by II's continued selling.....Whatever is at play here who really knows?..... all will be revealed in time as they can only stay stum for so long.....

Exactly, they can easily say when the CPR is now due and what its status is. They could also say they are in negotiations with a JV partner hence the news void (with the usual caveat of no certainty etc). The market would like that (the share price would fly!). Instead they release in-cohesive news through unofficial and quite frankly unprofessional channels like VOX markets and pro-active. I kind of hoped they'd grown out of that :(
