To reassure you. I have spoken with a friend in Lagos who advises at government level there are always High Court judges sitting, even though it has been / is a holiday period.

With just a tiny bit of research you will find out that the Nigerian legal system is on long summer holiday. Therefore no news on the licence until end of September at the earliest.

My point? No news for a while...

His talk couldn't have been about much that was substantive. Hope you hear from anyone who buttonholed him.

Huge queue for security. By the time I got in someone was talking about crisps. Can't see Knott anywhere.

I get the feeling that the talk will be generic about country stats, and about Niger in particular. I would at the moment be surprised if anything were mentioned specific to Seven Energy deal. Plenty otherwise to talk about.

I'm going and on the train now into Waterloo, much too early as it doesn't start until 7pm, and it will be very interesting tonight. All the institutional investors will have been invited.

It's Africa. Delays are normal. Good that well respected AIIM are involved. I'm assuming deal will go through eventually.

The news pieces seem to suggest a build up of the company, let’s hope that this really is it because I don’t think it’s good for our health! As for others on here it might be an idea to start the aspirin early!

He said in interview in shares magazine last week that it's on track for closing this month so I think we are getting close now... the deal is done bar the dotting the i's and crossing the t's

Anyone else starting to worry about the Q3 deadline being missed?

Pushing it back a full 3 months would have been to allow more than enough time to sign off the RTO, yet here we are.

Is it a complete failure or just a final arm twist to sweeten the deal?
