23/8/2018 08:03 | I am very upbeat here after yesterday's rise, and the lack of selling. The very large sells of previous days appear to have stopped, and the price jumped under continued buying pressure. Was it a bondholder? We may never know. Investment strategy can change at short notice, we may have just been unluck, it could have been sector specific and in no way a judgement on SAVP uniquely. Perhaps some oligarch fancies a new superyacht or has to fund a divorce? I expect this rise to continue as the smart investor sees the confirmation of the Q3 RTO completion in the updated presentation as a signal that good news is imminent. Completing the RTO will have a dramatic effect on sentiment and the share price should respond appropriately. Hold the line. | honestmarty
22/8/2018 13:30 | Just done a modest top up FWIW. That's it for fully loaded. | ifthecapfits

20/8/2018 20:14 | When the 7E deal closes it likely that it will be very difficult to buy any significant quantity of stock on the market below 35p so the warrant holders will likely have to exercise the warrants... | shareideas1
20/8/2018 20:10 | Div The 35p warrants can still be exercised regardless. Its not dependent on any trigger price. You could say why would they exercise when they can buy at sub 30p. There are 130 odd million warrants so I doubt there's that many logically that they could all get from bond holders if it is all down to bondholders causing the problem. Also we could have argued over a year ago that on the same basis as now they had no need to buy into a substantial placing at 38p when the share price was sub 25p. | zengas
20/8/2018 18:06 | bushman, I was replying to hm '?'. the mt post overlapped | pembury
20/8/2018 18:03 | I wonder if AK is being rather naive over this whole bondholder selling issue. He claims they are not selling. How does he know that? Can he prove it? He must realise the pain it is causing IIs and PIs alike, not to mention reducing the likelihood of the warrants being exercised in time, to bring in extra cash to fund more Niger drills. | divmad
20/8/2018 17:51 | nen2319 - Euroclear's latest Stock on Loan report for SAVP says there is currently 4.4 million / 0.64% of the stock currently out on loan. Bondholders unloading will simply be aiding and abetting the shorters. Most short-trackers are largely useless since they simply report the notifiable short position/s - ie those of 0.5% or over. I asked the SAVP Investors relations officer and CEO in April 2017 if they were aware that a group of what i presumed were hedge funds, had quietly built up a 6.4% short position in SAVP over just two months without triggering a single notifiable position - it came as complete news to them but not Euroclear! | mount teide |
