16/11/2005 10:23 | I consider these results quite good and I like their cash generation. Still worth holding onto IMO. | ptgint
16/11/2005 08:18 | P/E = 11, I think is good for this small IT company, also pay div =2.5P/year. | wang5
17/10/2005 19:23 | ex growth worth 30p | yinyang42
17/10/2005 16:59 | I don't see it quite as bad as that, britishb, with full yr results similiar to last year. I reckon the fall is overdone. Have a look at Harvey Nash where they put in excellent results today and the shares only went up 1p !! The market seems to be anticipating an economic downturn. | ptgint
17/10/2005 14:29 | What an awful trading statement today. Looks like things are falling apart with profits tumbling significantly in H2. And with a very weak looking balance sheet even 60p looks miles too expensive to me....12m revenues and 24 million market cap just ain't right! Surely a short Shirley? | britishb
01/7/2005 10:21 | Guilty. Got it on a whim. | corrientes
01/7/2005 09:50 | I presume not! | tundertre

20/12/2004 20:56 | Starting a new thread for an old favorite SANDERSON GROUP has been spun out of the privatised SANDERSON ELECTRICS which rewarded its shareholders very well.Very experienced management strong forward revenue. And stipping out the £5m cash on a forward p/e of less tham eight...seems a no brainer to me!ps the first part of the old sanderson is civica which has performed well to date | jbarcroftr
26/9/2002 09:15 | What a pity the board clearly lack any independence. The takeover panel should examine their self fulfilling and pathetic recommendation. | fjaf
26/9/2002 09:12 | I agree. I am appalled that the board have now come out with a recommendation to accept the offer. The price is ludicrous. Their reasons for recommending are self fulfilling only by virtue of their recommendation. I am sick to death of investing in small companies to find that I am effectively compulsorily taken over at a low price by insiders after publishing some bad news. If this is a consequence of our regulatory system it is madness and if not the regulators should do something about it. We are being robbed. | fjaf
26/9/2002 09:07 | The sale of the business to Newman family/major shareholders at a knock down price is part of a recent trend? Silentnight,Sinclair group, Regal hotels are all examples. All thats required is a cosy relationship with the board most of whome will have been appointed by them! In America directors would face the Jail but in Britain with the toothless FSA daylight robery is permitted | bryan2
16/9/2002 15:58 | Yeah a bit odd this one I have a huge 20 shares, from my holding in ttg, which will get me all of £11, which will not even cover my trading fee | ourrob
02/9/2002 11:02 | Yes this has all the appearances of yet another shareholder rip-off | hosede
28/8/2002 13:14 | Relief: trust you can identify them ( if any) and keep us posted. | john e g
26/8/2002 14:45 | The way this proposed takeover is set out makes it appear that shareholders have little say in the matter. Not so! Last year a very similar "MANDATORY"offer was made by the major shareholder in Regal Hotels hoping to get it on the cheap. Fortunately the board of Regal had a group of non executive directors who rejected the bid. The major shareholder was forced to come back with a bid 25% higher than the original. I'm not sure if SEND board will have such an independent group of directors as they would have been appointed by Newman as CE and major shareholder in TT group from which they were spun off last year. | bryan2
16/5/2001 13:54 | it's on a double your money day and starting to fly ! +47% | eurekanet
15/5/2001 11:23 | Did anyone hold onto their SND shares following its demerger from TTG. I only got 65 shares. Current value about £25! I might just break even if I sold them now. Anything less and it might have cost me money! No encouragement in the AFX story. SEND's first statement amounts to a profits warming on Beatson. Market cap for SND is only £20 - a minnow of minnows. Not sure what to do with my shares. The mix of companies put into SEND is also quite bizzare. Not exactly a homogenous group. But everyone needs glass containers right? | growbag |
