On second thoughts, A1links, why don't you approach advfn with your evidence?

Shame on the man. Despicable low life action but I am totally gobsmacked that advfn won't or can't ban him for such behaviour.

WARRI, Nigeria (AP) - An oil company in Nigeria is declaring a "force majeure" shutdown after a fire.

The temporary closure is expected to cut Nigeria's oil production by about 8 percent per day.

Aiteo Oil Exploration and Production Company said the shutdown took place Sunday.

The Nembe Creek Trunk Line has a carrying capacity of more than 150,000 barrels per day and is used to transport crude oil from the eastern Niger Delta to the Bonny Export Terminal in Rivers state in southern Nigeria.

The company said it suspected the fire may have occurred through "an illegitimate third-party breach."

Over the past two years, Nigeria has been steadily recovering in crude oil production, due to cessation of hostilities by the Niger Delta oil militants.

Au contraire, in my experience the more deadlines that get broken on a prospective deal by agreement, the more likely it will complete. I have worked on many £100m plus deals in the City in my time (albeit, with the exception of a major LNG plant, not hydrocarbons) and can't think of one that got away on its original timetable. Half a dozen false dawns is certainly not unusual. Various euphemisms get used for the stages of closure along the way, from 'docs in a box' 'commercial close' to 'photo opportunity'. Only one finally and legally counted and that was of course 'financial close'.
I guess for those who are trapped in short positions here or simply not in, you are praying for this deal to collapse. I'm afraid I think you are going to be disappointed. There is simply too much at stake for all parties to this deal for that to happen now and that is why of course you have seen all these extensions granted by agreement.

I still wonder why, apart from the obvious reason that most of the board of directors
don't own any shares in SLE but share options, that they never paid a special dividend.
All share holders, whether new or LTH's would have received some cash whilst retaining all their shares.
As an aside if SLE's prospects are so good u would think the BOD's would buying shares, might be wise to follow the BOD's ?

i. how much oil did Eroton sell last year
ii. how much profit did Eroton make last year or was it a loss
iii. how much of the last interest payment has been made
iv. how much the MLPL has borrowed to pay the interest to date to SLE
v. what was the flow rate on the last well
vi. has the payment due 31 Mar been made
vii. what exactly are the shareholdings in SLE

Always average up and hardly ever average down is the winning formula. Averaging down is the road to not making much. Indeed if you are thinking of averaging down on something consider taking the loss on it instead!

Or else you will hold it foreever while it sinks further or even goes bust, thus affecting your ability to make the big money. You can make some money if you are an average downer, but believe me, you won't make that much. Those who average down don't realise they are in the grip of confirmation bias which means they will never listen to anything negative about the share going down and will stick to it like a loyal football fan.

Investors also who only ever sell things that have made a profit and never sell anything that's made a loss will end up making little profit over time.

The only way to get out of confirmation bias et all is to sell everything you have that is down by more than 35% or more. Don't even look and see what it is. You'll feel much better after you dumped the losers and you'll have lots of cash ready for new buys - and this time, have stop losses!

the said poster has stated in various posts and guises playing an influence in share price and manipulating it years ago, don't think that will go down well with shareholders of that time!, but yes Alaric to post continually like he does condemning sle is extremely unhinged.

found this over there too, regarding an rrr shareholder, but this 1historyman/charttrader2000 has no vested interest in sle, anyone find it strange afaha and callas hasn't shown up for a while since bluerill has shown an interest in this history poster!!.

How incredible it is that a single shareholder in a PLC can cause the company tremendous amounts of financial damage just by using Twitter and other social media. Defamation by shareholders, often disgruntled shareholders, against their own company, is one of the most irrational acts that we have seen in recent years.

In the case of the international gold mining company RRR and its shareholder Gary Carp, the consequences of Mr Carp posting defamation against the company were particularly serious to the company and to the thousands of investors who at one point saw the value of their shares plummeting very sharply.

The company was left with no choice but to issue legal proceedings against its shareholder in order to protect the interest of the rest of its shareholders who were being scared off by dangerous speculation and by highly defamatory conversations that Mr Carp initiated on various investors forums.

This was probably the first ever case in the UK of a PLC suing a shareholder over defamation on internet forums and on Twitter. The dilemma that the company faced, whether legal action for defamation against a shareholder would be viewed as a bullying act or whether it would be accepted as an act of protection, appreciated by other investors, was resolved very quickly when following the successful law suit, it received nothing but positive and encouraging feedback from its investors. The investors viewed the initiation of legal proceedings against their fellow shareholder as a demonstration of leadership by the companys board of directors rather than an oppressive act and their confidence in the company grew.

YEP, that's 0.18p to 0.38p for the LTH's, what a wonderful success story but I have to admit it's one of their better performances.
