It will be very interesting to see what happens to the Portage share price when trading resumes some time next week.

I gather the problem has been the CSE has gone to pot ie it has been swamped by cannabis company listings. But trading in Portage will resume shortly and the acquisition has, I believe, been approved. However we may have to wait another month for the deal to go through.

A pure UK Deal in STHP has taken 14 months already and no news to remove the suspension!

Are the Canadians still slogging their way through the Portage bid paperwork ? If so how much bloody paperwork is there for goodness sake. Surely all such cases can't take this long ?

It has gone very quiet on here !

It is feeling like the longer this goes on the more chance the whole thing fizzling out.

And that it wouldn't take much for these to be back down at 20p....

I wish. My portfolio is mostly speculative stuff (or, in some cases, stuff which has become speculative after I bought).

Am down around 40% overall at this point on a £100k portfolio.

My own fault for putting too much into individual shares and / or chasing losses (eg bought Interserve at £2.40, £1.60 and 89p and they still kept falling. Before you know where you are you have bought shares for £10k which are worth £2k).

I was genuinely expecting an amazing announcement - and a doubling of the Salvarx share price. I'm already up 100% so I suppose I can't be too greedy.

Am holding lots of 'jam tomorrow' shares most of which are truly awful (including ITX, RM2, RMS, CNR, PPC, PGD etc) and some real dogs (DEB, IRV, ISAT, DIA, BARC)….

I came on here today expecting a load of posts re some news yesterday, as expected in previous posts on here, that Intensity had made a world changing breakthrough and that Salvarx's 9% would be worth a fortune.

Instead just tumbleweed....

Presumably no such news / progress after all ?

Should be a double whammy effect coming

Portage value will go up and have a knock on effect on the SALV price

Should go exponential soon

No wonder they were giving the October 20th Presentation such a pre-show fanfare

The only way to remain holding intensity is to hold portage. Interesting to note that portage gave a dividend of $210 million in January when they sold shares in Biohaven. They will do the same with Intensity. Can see a fairly quick sale.

Running for free for me. Will offset other losses if I sell, but on enquiry Canadian disposal costs aren’t horrific, so I will let it run meantime especially as indications are that the P shares will be a capital receipt as Vod/Verizon were.

Similar here Dex. I have a few more @34p. I saw a corporate vid on a J Mellon tweet. Looked interesting to me. I liked the business model. Won't make me a mill but hope for the best. Good luck to you. Fig.

My problem is going to be that I won't want to be holding Portage shares (not even sure i can [Charles Stanley]) so will be looking to sell before the swap...

This is way undervalued even pre stunning results. Price agreed is worth $1.60 in portage shares with a healthy percentage of the deal shares remaining in the shell. That wecretwkn our shares in. No brainer chaps.

Plenty of screen printe on twitter search #SALV. We will have a very interesting week, expecting portage SH document release by Canadian stock Exchange early this week.
Vote then deal very quickly. Don’t forget we get 18 portage shares (value US 8.9 cents each) for every Salv share. Plus get to keep shell shares which are worth ~20p each.

fig1. I have a small holding. Just 6,000 shares. A speculative punt at around 34p a share a while ago. Tip from Moneyweek I think but i can't be sure.

Could do with a significant winner as am taking a major bath on some other holdings just now....
