Decided to try and catch a falling knife yesterday and hopefully (just) managed to grab hold of the handle for a change. FTSE demotion selling by trackers should be over tomorrow as the new index takes effect from Monday morning - any hope of 250 index re-entry implies a recovery to around 64p according to my calculations so not something to hope for in the short term. Yesterday's trading update was slightly better than expected with no change to year end profit targets or hints of a fund raising. On the other hand very cautious language used to describe turnaround results to date. Director buying announced on Tuesday also very welcome and hopefully there'll be more such announcements to underline the Board's confidence. Looking to accumulate Saga on the dips but looks like a good recovery play (albeit one to be watched very closely). Just my opinion. DYOR and all that.

The insurance side has a much greater value than todays market cap ,at 20p it will be the sale of the century I would say. Holiday insurance and Bennets motorcycle insurance side will be worth that alone. At a guess for a takeout price on a PE of 10 an easy 3 x today's knockdown price . with the fullness of time the cruise side will provide growth with the 2 x new ships no docking required for 2.5 to 3 years

I am expecting a period of 3-4 months for the share price to stabilise and trade in a tight range between 33p and 39p is my hunch. After that, either it will winkle out a bid or there will be udpated fundamental information to re-appraise.

The update yesterday was pretty solid. Dropping another 14 percent was just ridiculous. This will surely get back over 40p quickly.

It will be interesting to see if this share can hold its gain of 7% today. If it can this next few days, it is a good sign. However this share has a record of loosing all it's gains over a few days and then going to a new low. Heres hoping the corner has been turned, but I'm skeptical at the moment. Good luck all holders

I’m guessing yesterday may have been the nadir, at least in the short term. Hopefully not a dead cat bounce, will see tomorrow

Good start this morning. Up over 6% on good solid buying. I sense bid speculation on the way.

ftse 250 trakers and investors who invest for dividend are the ones selling no need for shorts. who would short now after it has dropped 80% any takeover bid would destroy shorters and what is the plus side for shorters another 10p?

careful, why not compare todays share price chart with that for the FTSE.... funnily enough it is pretty well identical?

Whatever was said at today's AGM could not have been reassuring. A dramatic collapse.

Most people are ill informed. How many check that they are comparing last years policy cover with this year's, or their renewal quote with like for like cover from a cheaper provider? The value of insurance is whether it pays out when you need it.

All insurers seem to play the same game when it comes to renewal...ive been with Admiral 7 years and each year they are too expensive, and each year they match what Ive found on Comparethemarket Same again this year - they want £90 more, when the cheapest (Hastings and AA) are around £50 less They seem to bank on people being ill-informed and its a rather dubious business practice imho
