11/6/2019 08:12 | How many CEOs do you know of getting a sack...I mean a proper sack without pay!!...within Plc casino markets its a different rule for those at the top...they just step down with a golden goodbye handshake...I mean a proper 24ct golden goodbye hand shake!... | diku
11/6/2019 07:52 | Moving forward | sunnybeachboy
11/6/2019 07:06 | Well at least it’s a positive step. LB should still resign or be sacked though. If a lower employee made as many mistakes as he has they’d be off. | dr biotech
11/6/2019 06:04 | I already use Marcus bank and am well impressed with it easy to open and very secure but limit of only 100k for best interest rate .if they can improve this limit will use Saga for another account myself thanks for the information koetser. | wskill
11/6/2019 04:42 | Well done for your attempted pump koetser but if fear it's misconceived. Saga 'white label' a lot of services. Given the collapse in the share price and that Saga clients were invited to participate in the IPO, do you really think they going to be easily convinced to move over their life savings? | glavey
11/6/2019 00:27 | how much at open ? 65p? | koetser
11/6/2019 00:26 | Saga, the over-50s insurance and travel company, is hoping to revive its fortunes in an unlikely alliance with Wall Street banking giant Goldman Sachs. A deal between the retirement specialist and the US bank, dubbed the "great vampire squid" for its influence over the banking industry, is expected to be announced on Tuesday morning. Saga chief Lance Batchelor said the group has signed a partnership with Goldman's savings arm Marcus, the online bank that launched in the UK late last year, as many of the group's customers "hold a large proportion of their wealth in savings". | koetser
11/6/2019 00:18 | Looks like massive pump tomorrow as Saga is going to deal with Goldman Sachs :-) | koetser
10/6/2019 22:59 | If only somebody would ring the bell on the way up and on the way down.... | diku
10/6/2019 16:57 | Well, all the FTSE 250 relegation selling should be over now which will take a lot of pressure off the share price I am getting tempted at current levels but like a lot of watchers I think I would rather wait until I see a solid uptrend established before dipping my toes in. | salpara111
10/6/2019 16:49 | Probably good idea to wait till agm still can’t thinking about why directors bought in at 60p | koetser
10/6/2019 11:09 | Spent far too long over the weekend deciding whether to buy in or not - finally decided to wait until the AGM. This really should be a solid growth, loyal, lucrative market but any Board that allows their flagship magazine's circulation to steadily fall from 631k at start-2012 to 246k by end-2018 is negligent (let alone from >1.2m in the early 2000s). Digital subscriptions are also minimal. How many businesses are there where you can persuade people to spend a couple quid buying a publication stuffed full of your own adverts and friendly editorials? | zulu_principle
10/6/2019 11:06 | Bid increasing..... | sunnybeachboy
10/6/2019 10:59 | For resigning they get a golden goodbye...and a golden hellos onto the next project... What the company is doing and what the share price is doing there seems to be a disconnect within Plc casino markets... | diku
10/6/2019 10:47 | Who's bottom?... | diku
10/6/2019 10:42 | 40p may be the bottom. But as I mention before 3 days without falling is normally a decent indicator. I think LB should resign to restore some sort of confidence. | dr biotech
10/6/2019 10:40 | Is this the bottom now chaps | sunnybeachboy
10/6/2019 10:37 | Email lance.batchelor@saga | justiceforthemany
10/6/2019 10:30 | Professional footballers and directors of businesses have much in common, they are both rewarded for failure, I cannot think of many other sports or industries where the two are more similar. If members of staff at Saga did not cut the mustard they would likely be dismissed, and this creep Bachelor should be treated equally! | bookbroker
10/6/2019 10:27 | There is no confidence in Bachelor or in his plan to restore this company’s fortunes, he has basically been another disaster, frankly the quality of British businessmen at the helm of some of our larger companies is just awful, a chimpanzee would do a better job, and they do not even speak or think anything resembling a human language! | bookbroker
10/6/2019 09:50 | You might just get 40p sooner than you think...does this company have a Chairman?...what is their role/purpose?... | diku
09/6/2019 12:39 | Yep that's why I bought at 44p. Will double up if hits 40p | sunnybeachboy
09/6/2019 09:02 | Yes it's very hard to call the bottom the only way is to buy in tranches I started around 50p and am about half way to my preferred holding. Not an exact science but it works reasonably well for me I have been doing well with these bombed out shares foot, mcls ,quiz, and started buying a few purp and nrr which seem oversold and have decent balance sheets. | wskill
08/6/2019 17:44 | looks like some take over action in Thomas Cook. Could boost sentiment and give some over zealous short hedge funds a well deserved kicking I definitely think it will help Saga | dealy |
