It is called investment when borrowings increase due to the two new cruise vessels which will grow cruise revenue by 74% when both ships are delivered .
Not what the shorts want is it ,still a present PE below 4 on forecast profit should help you and your brethren to keep shorting and I can keep adding a few more over the next few months.

"Saga is not a debt ridden company"

I think you should just change your moniker to "w"

.................... The Tories 12 Disciples ..................

We now have the chosen 12 who will lead us out of all our troubles to a land of milk and money.

No bus tokens will be needed to make the journey and Saga will help transport all.

And there will be new cheap subsidised houses for the poor built by the nations builders and the weak and needy shall be given cheap food provided by many of the big four but mostly by ALDI and LIDL who shall continue to grow and prosper.

And a 13th will come amongst us sayeth the 22 committee who shall make complete the holey group.

From one of these a leader will be anointed to guide us all along the paths of Tory righteousness for we as a people do not know what we do.

Guidance and Deliverance is at hand , the chosen one will save us from our Brexit sins and make us clean and whole again.

Good plan EJ this is now my only investment style I buy bombed out stocks nothing else and have been doing very well with it problem is finding the bottom never an exact science but close enough will do for me.

Don't think we are far off now will wait a few weeks before adding more in the hope of getting them a tad cheaper.

Saga is not a debt ridden company and unlikely that more cash will be required to support the company with profits forecast around £120m for 2019/2020 present PE on forecast is 4 seems low enough to me.

Things look grim here.
No buyers coming in even at depressed prices.

House selling transactions and holiday bookings in free fall.
high street shopping collapsing, restaurant going bust.

Brexit will of course be a disaster but it will take time.
Perversely the £ collapsing after Brexit has helped in the short term.

But it is going to be a slow car crash.

Mind there's £1,175 million goodwill + £62.8m intangibles, thus *negative* net tangible assets of £273.5 million and *negative* NTAV per share of 24.4p.

Saga IPO 185p
Batchelor appointed CEO 2014

Share price now 41p having peaked at 225p in 2016
DOWN 80%

Forward guidance profit £90M-105M giving EPS 6.6p-7.6p and a P/E of around 6 only.
Dividend cut to 4p now yielding almost 10% (!)

NAV/book price 86p = double current SP

Clearly market/short sellers do not think these metrics are important though.

I think Saga would be better served under a bigger umbrella...one bob hope here is if Virgin Holidays (Richard Branson) makes a bid for it...the leisure would fit in with Virgin Holidays and the Insurance under Virgin Money... close down surplus head office/admin and get rid of insiders...

Guys notice the spread is just too wide at times although one can buy well inside the bid price...some of the trades listed on the sell side on ADVFN are buys...and I think PI's have been buying this last few days as the price has been drifting lower......

Meanwhile Batchelor, Quin CFO and IR are shamefully quiet. Just like Spire. Directors bought at 60p - why are they not adding at 40p??

hxxps://corporate.saga.co.uk/investors/agm/
Vote them out especially Batchelor - 5 years of failure.

P.s, out of hundreds and hundreds of shares I have owned, I have only bought one share at the bottom, and that was Corus.

Who was it who said, " If you buy a share within 20% of the bottom and sell it within 20% of the top, you will do very well"

Hope I've got this within 20% of the bottom

Quite convenient also how as a result of this 20% decline this week Saga will now go to FTSE Small Cap status next week. Market Cap below cut off. Yes very convenient for these criminals.

Funny how the short sellers can crash an share price 20% in 2 days on the back of no news or update. Funny or criminal? I favour the latter.
