Sharebuddy, if you think we will look back in a few years and think the current price is cheap then you can bet that others are looking at the same investment cases but on a company t/o basis.
Money is cheap and there are plenty of buyers for the bits that a bidder doesn't want.
My thinking is that someone could sell off the insurance side and get a tangible brand and a couple of ready to go, brand new cruise ships for peanuts

Am pretty sure there won’t be a bid for this company. The share trading indicates traders buying and selling rather than an accumulation for a prospective takeover. I think the new strategy will reap rich rewards both on the insurance and travel side. We’ll look back in a couple of years when the share price indicates a p/e ratio of around 10 to 12, and wish we’d had more faith. Surely the Duchess of Cornwall knows she’s backed a winner here.

Royaly have launched cruise ships for many decades.
It dates back to the time when the big liners were national status symbols.
And HMG has first call on them in times of war.

Cunards Queens were troop carriers in WW2, too fast for the submarines to catch.
P&O's Canberra featured in the Falklands conflict.

Not entirely convinced - far from it in fact - but liking the chart and on board for some. Won't be adding if it falls though, will have to wait it out. And yes, one prang of the ship is enough, no repeats.

How do they get Kate Middleton or whatever her name is to open it? It's a commercial company - isn't she supposed to be above that sort of thing? Or is it training for her being Queen in due course and naming a Cunard thing Queen Kate or similar? Whatever, hope there is a little support on the back of it. And that they flog some insurance policies.
