@alexios ~ add another 185m if Cora takes up PVO option. Sounds RNS on subject is far clearer than SRON's ~ they are clear that their 185m will represent 1/3rd of total if PVO option proceeds.

Yes rollthedice, that's the way I read it. Hopefully this will result in a big uplift when synergies in all 3 cpmpanies kick in and proportional costs reduce. At this stage it is a non-binding agreement, but I can't see why it shouldn't proceed.
Fingers crossed.

Bit of slippage wasn't it supposed to be Q1 but now saying H1, no big deal in the long run but it still isn't clear yet how Bezzecca will pan out and yesterdays raise didn't help boost sentiment.

Why would you bail this morning at less than placing price? Seems a bit daft.

@2vdm ~ I'm heavily down too but hope there's a bit of a recovery as production increases.

I hope you're right rolldice. I'm not very happy with SRON and am down here. It should be a small but profitable energy company. I hope the BOD aren't using it to feather their nests rather than the shareholders at large.

No great surprise.. cash has been a niggling doubt for me on this share for a while so at least they've squared that away while they build production.

Disappointed with timing with Q3 results out shortly, could placing have been at a higher price if they'd waited, was this the 'price' of investors participating at not a huge discount or are Q3 figures not that exciting?!

If you ever look at small cap oil & gas companies maybe take a close look at recently [Monday] fully listed [standard] United Oil & Gas [UOG]

UOG are headed up by 2 ex Tullow Oil [TLW] boys Brian Larkin and Dr. Jonathan Leather

MKT CAP is £6M with over half of that being in cash....UOG have 2 drills planned in the next 4 to 6 months with the 1st drill in October

Obviously with their TLW connections the boys have some massive plans to take the UOG share price from pennies to £ pounds £

2vdm, well, I tipped them a couple of weeks ago @5.25!

There have been rumors that the directional drill termed "Bezzecca 2" may not be needed as the reservoirs may be communicating. This is, of course, all hear-say, but if true would save a couple of million dollars in CAPEX.

Or leaky? But remember it's summer trade, only ~£20k worth of buying has theoretically raised an 8m m/cap by 20%, daft, it could disappear just as easily...or strengthen if the right news. Lets hope for the latter.

Well it appears something has "spooked" us northwards by 20%. Have they been tipped somewhere?

2vdm,

I can't actually add anything concrete but I agree with your thoughts. I've seen Masterman evasive in enough interviews when he could, and should, have nailed certain matters and tackled questions plainly. I've also noted his always underlying soft spoken preference for letting things build gradually, and that revenue could be improved in many ways not just by tweaking production but also by acquisitions if they came up. None of it gives the confidence investors and potential investors seek.

And I say that as a holder based on fundamentals as I understand them and almost now back above water. I hope if there are any surprises they are of the good sort.

Well perhaps it's now reached the bottom. I would still like to hear what costs are re budget. Not too impressed that this hasn't been mentioned anywhere unless I've missed something. Hopefully we will get confirmation that all went well with the choke installation per the RNS 10/7/16 :- "Over the first two weeks of July, the Company will install a downhole choke at Bezzecca and production from the field will recommence immediately afterwards from several levels, namely Level A, S and possibly R. Production rates in Level A will be adjusted down to allow for increased aggregate production from multiple levels".
Given that the RNS was dated 10th had the work already started? In my view "the first two weeks of July" implies 1st-14th approx, in which case the RNS should have read something like " the company commenced work on installing a downhole choke on X date with the work due to be finished within 2 weeks". Sorry to be picky, but it's this lack of clarity that I find frustrating. Are they just careless or hiding something? Views appreciated.
