JSE leading the way ...end of march may bring more detail of pic sac igepe tie up ...sasol gas supply deals have not all been renewed with spare capacity available in the gas pipeline.

Update is welcome but doesn't give much to look forward to before Q3........ I would of liked to have some update on DRC and the current state of play with opl 281.We also have revisited seismic on one of the nigerian assets and have had no update on this .The mozambique is the only obvious news likely to come soon that would add value to the share price ....Still I am confident that the info that we are perhaps not privy to will have been seen by the big players and its those big players that seem to be shifting the share price

It seems that both in SAFRICA and on aim there seems to be quite a few large trades after close or in SAFRICA as the last trade of the day .....Someone seems very keen to get their hands on these shares and in reasonably large amounts.

looking up imformation on Pic south Africa's public investment corporation is quite revealing .Worth about 150 billion dollars it has become a giant and continues to grow ...being the largest shareholder in sacoil it bodes well for our future .Recent volume in South Africa points to the future looking far rosier than it did under the disappointing mr vela.Fridays 2.9 million buy at circa 3.4 p points to where this company is likely to be going ,forwards ,and in a big way .With the JSE leading the way ,we have trailed a tad behind share price wise and maybe investors in s Africa are thinking its better value buying on aim ,who knowns .Whichever way you look at it there are many positives.quality assets. High profile management and sugar daddy backer ....interesting times ahead me thinks ....imho...

No fool ....I agree that the news must of been leaked but there is any number of possible reasons for news in the next few weeks or months .We are due a quarterly update.

CAUTIONARY ANNOUNCEMENT - EoI

Shareholders are hereby advised that the Company has entered into an expression of interest ("EoI") dated 19 February 2014 with The Instituto De Gestão Das Participações Do Estado, an entity that manages investment portfolios and shares on behalf of the Government of the Republic of Mozambique, and The Public Investment Corporation (SOC) Limited to investigate gas opportunities relating to the future distribution of gas in Southern Africa.

The purpose of the EoI is purely to govern the preliminary discussions, and formalise the relationship, between the parties. These discussions are at a very early stage, with the intention of concluding a formal memorandum of understanding by the end of March 2014.

The above-mentioned may have a material effect on the price of SacOil's shares and accordingly shareholders are advised to exercise caution when dealing in the Company's shares until a further announcement is made.

Yes nice finish in Africa Bronislav, and it is on the South African exchange that I am in fact trading these, not London.

Traders sensibly take their profits don't they. Of course, if the story remains the same, as with SAC it currently does, that gives johnny come latelys like me (!) a chance to really pile in, as I did this morning. So now by the close, my positions are aggregated in profit.

Onwards and upwards..dare I say.

From what I have gleaned, momentum should be good to the upside well into March..

I'm already in profit today, at the mo' that is.
