31/10/2017 08:00 | A quick scan shows provision for a further £700m loss that has yet to be booked. 'Customers' look to be defined as people with a My Ryanair' profile. That is not a customer Mick. I am sure a professional will find more. Much more. Profit is just a feat of accounting engineering. God help anyone even farting on an RYA flight unless they bought a pre paid fart permit when booking. | ccnp
27/10/2017 15:17 | Imagine running a company with such disdain for your employees that when critical mass is met..........meltdow | calabrian
25/10/2017 15:11 | Well if people want to go back to the days when they were paying £200-300 or more for a scheduled flight to Europe then they should hope these go out of business. But I pay €20 to get from Malaga to Palma with these and the same for a flight to the UK. So what do you expect for that, free champagne and canapes? There is a choice of who you fly with and most people choose these. | gerdmuller
25/10/2017 12:17 | Rankerair ? or even Frankenair ? | ccnp
25/10/2017 11:18 | This company has created its own Frankenstien monster. When the pilots hate the company, the staff hate the company, the customers hate the company, the investors hate the company, the MARKET hates the company. So they will lose customers, lose money, lose pilots, get fined, lose more customers, lose more money. This is the next in a long list of Air Berlin type failures imo. | kmann
23/10/2017 08:32 | Heading towards support level of €14 ans after that support level is €11....MOL might be heading for early retirement at this rate. | wolfhound1
20/10/2017 22:25 | Trouble at Stansted... | bonovox4
19/10/2017 08:47 | How are they gonna grow to 600 aircraft when they cannot crew the fleet they have? | alphabravo321
06/10/2017 16:14 | Does the memo read like this? -Ryanair pilots aren't scum anymore, but other airlines' pilots are scum.-Love it. So glad I don't work for this guy. Is he trying to swindle them into staying? | calabrian
06/10/2017 11:33 | Don't think Monarch guys will be forced to join Ryan by circumstance. Most of the UK airbus operators have opened Monarch specific pathways, certainly Virgin, Thomas Cook, Thompson, Easy plus I believe Qatar, and various Hong Kong operators are organising recruiting events for them. Monarch was a well respected airline with high quality standards and training. Their pilots are a valuable commodity and in the current recruiting climate will not have to sink as low as Ryan. | sweyn

02/10/2017 16:02 | Up some 3.5% on Monach demise just before market close BUT EZY up much more. | pugugly
02/10/2017 07:31 | They may not be the usual pilots RYA recruits but Monarch's demise may well be a blessing for RYA and a catastrophe for the RYA pilots who have been treated so badly. | ccnp
01/10/2017 11:02 | ICC have said pay refunds RA in 7 days ( 28 for expenses) or else and RA need to provide transparency on claims settled - suspect we will see some big compo numbers and pilots and other groups also pressing their advantage - could be a rocky road to Christmas for RA | wolfhound1
30/9/2017 18:54 | It won't be discrete and I promise you it will already be happening. I was running a project building this into a tier one, a global household name, new systems just over a decade ago and I am now way out of date with how the tech has developed since then. In leisure industry online booking systems, identifying the source of a booking request was Introduction class 101 at the Millenium. Not doing it today is negligence by a CIO/CTO. Anyone who tells you they 'wished they'd booked when they first looked because the prices have just gone up' has seen how effective this is. Your (partial) defence is switching between devices and switching browsers but these guys are good at using breadcrumbs generated by Google et al who promptly propogate trans platform (phone, pad, PC, Mac, work, home, your kids/spouse's machines etc) in a nano sec. You may sometimes think 'the internet's a bit slow today'. Quite often, it's prep time by the site to check you out. It takes a few seconds to consolidate the data from what may few a few 10s, if not 100s of pings to call out your up to date info. Prices are also affected by volume of bookings by source. The more seats you book (ie more than 1), the more they jack up the price in addition to restricting channel and block discounts from that source. Which suggests that an analysis of other carriers on RYA routes help with identifying some likely improvement in revenues. Good luck. | ccnp
30/9/2017 17:33 | If I was Easyjet and Jet2 I'd be discretely hiking seat prices. After all Ryanair will be buying them! | orinocor
30/9/2017 16:20 | I think people may be underestimating the damage this has done. Have little doubt the current issues will be resolved in time but how much damage has been done to their reputation and confidence with passengers. Its one thing to be known for charging hidden extras but quite another when people lose confidence in their ability to deliver the flights they have paid for. They may do ok on routes they have exclusivity on but when they are head to head with their low cost competition how many will now book with the competition even if it means paying a little more. He really has handled a bad situation, poorly. | tim 3
30/9/2017 11:54 | Olearys problem is CAA have shown that Oleary can be beaten - costs of cancellations just went up for RA 10 fold. RA will now want to contain any further cancellations - including potential "work to rule" cancellations. That will strengthen pilot negotiating position on T&C - bad for RA bottom line into the future and pilots are now operating on a unified basis across RA. ...no sugar coating this, Oleary has miscalculated and his usual bluff and bluster has been counter productive.... share price make take hit in coming months as analysts start pricing in rising costbase - next support level is €14 and possibly €11 | wolfhound1
30/9/2017 11:11 | O'Leary why should he care, worth £800m. Stuff the passengers. | montyhedge
29/9/2017 21:58 | orinicor Ryanair's current problems have nothing to do with pilot rosters. However I don't have a problem with the second part of your opinion. It must be tough working for MOL and his board. Reminds me of that story...........Gyps | calabrian
