He couldn't do that even if he wanted to. Aircraft are flying at much heavier weights than their paperwork would suggest. To have ACTUAL weights for the aircraft load sheet, might mean that the aircraft would be too heavy to take off/land LEGALLY at certain airports. It would also increase his overflight charges (costs incurred for flying over a different country's FIR (flight information region)) and these charges are COSTLY. So, in short, it would work. He would have to charge so much more to cover the above charges, that he just wouldn't have any customers anymore...

Why don't you tell it like it is Scrabble

All he has to do to make up the lost lolly is

1. Charge £1 for toilet use number one
2. Charge £2 for toilet use number two

&

The BIGGY

3. Charge weight surcharge on Males & Females with a BMI above normal of £5 per Kg

If he wants to use me as a consultant I can be reached ...... £5k a day

Bargain cos I have lots more ideas

So pleased for O'Leary, but not the real losers, the small investors. Unhappy for them !

I can't believe they've not learnt from the 2006 fiasco. May be a good time to crystallize those great gains made since March.

Used to fly Monarch same route - can't compete now - silly price

same for easyJet - way too pricey

pain in the neck ?

had no problems whatsoever when I used Ryanair in June - and I'm really not just saying that

the funniest bit was when I walked up the stairs into the planes rear door and sat down ( in my chosen seat - unlike easyJet - allocated seating ) to see most of the idiot priority boarders still queuing up the stairs to get into the planes front door

EZJ reigning in growth plans? seems a sensible thing to do in the light
of all these recent aircraft orders
Stelios last xmas, instead of ordering new aircraft, Easyjet should aim for a 10% profit margin, last wk, the low cost carriers are dependant
on the brits to seek holidays by flights V the europeans already in
a better climate,

can the brits afford to take the amount of breaks,
they have taken for granted in the past,
its ok say " pile em high sell em cheap"
but you have and will see a continuous depreciation of currencies (ex the AU$)
and rising costs transfers, taxi, accommodation, meals, etc
& not really looking forward to sharing in a row, ten seats across
monarch started offering six rows of wide leg seats @20quid, now have over
20rows w/l/seats around 30quid & filling them
Flybe propping up the balance sheet, selling off the silverware, 25 landing slots
at Gatwick to the competition, nearly 500 job cuts, deferred delivery of 16 new planes
a lot of risk, shareholders need to ask questions!
dyor

4/9 no surprises then?
