17/10/2017 15:39 | why would over the pond buy on AIM in such piddling quantities? I have been here since Julian Cooke at Gartmore offloaded at 50p (new money) I always thought he was a jumped up t*at But thanks Jules | phillis
17/10/2017 15:26 | I've held this stock since 2012 so it's getting close to being a ten bagger. I've long since given up trying to decide how much the stock should be priced at so it's been highly rated and it's been lower but I've held simply because it's a well run and growing business. If that changes, I would think about selling up but holding has so far paid me very well for doing nothing. | alter ego
17/10/2017 15:26 | Aye, I did the same thing at Avon, selling half my holding at £4-4.50 on valuation grounds......before it went on to £11.50+! | jeffian
17/10/2017 15:13 | Interesting - I've been selling down from £5 and have just sold the rest at £5.47. FWIW my thinking is the TS triggered a 7.7% eps upgrade so taking the £4.35 previous high and say 3 months of a 10% organic growth rate gave a target of £4.35 x 1.077 x 1.025 = £4.80. I'm struggling on valuation grounds why all of a sudden it's put on 40% (I'd added at £3.90 prior to the update so really can't grumble!) The RSI is also showing way oversold at 87 (a level it hasn't been at since 2011). Whilst I could be wrong I think I will sit on my hands and see what happens. GLA | alphabeta4
17/10/2017 14:48 | From over the pond by the looks of it: the price the last few trading days has consistently risen post 2 pm. | orange1
17/10/2017 14:45 | Er, whilst this rise is lovely does anyone know what's driving it as I can't work out where it's coming from! | alphabeta4

06/10/2017 10:19 | Fabulous update. Congrats to long term holders, this has been a stellar performer over the years and keeps on delivering the goods. Talking of memory QP you'll be surprised to see FFX nudging all time highs given your constant negativity in the past. Better luck elsewhere! :) | microscope

06/10/2017 07:42 | OMG, that's one upbeat trading update. the most positive update I think I've ever read. They almost ran out of superlatives: - "excellent" appears twice - "best ever" once - "outstanding" once in describing "An outstanding year" - "significant" three twice. "Significant progress" twice, and "significant growth" once, including "confident of further significant progress in the new financial year" - "strongly" twice. adjusted PBT "performed strongly" and China grew "strongly"; - "exceptionally well" twice. LUZ has performed exceptionally well, and the group is exceptionally well positioned to drive further international expansion - "excellent" twice. "excellent revenue performance" and "excellent performance across all of the Group's service offerings" - "ahead of market expectations" once for PBT - "strong" six times includng in respect of cash generation, china growth, momentum, pipeline of acquisition opportunities, PBT performance, LUZ performance, and financial and market positions. can't wait for the actual numbers. Just a stunning update commentary - and stunning is about the only superlative they didn't use to describe it. GLAH | jg88721
06/10/2017 07:39 | Cracking update. Andrew Brode, Chairman of RWS, commented on the outlook: "This has been a period of excellent performance across all of the Group's service offerings. We have now completed the integration of CTi and LUZ, which brings together two leading life sciences offerings with highly complementary services, clients and geographies. "As the premier global supplier of intellectual property support services and now a major force in life sciences, we believe we are exceptionally well positioned to drive further international expansion. "Both our financial and market positions remain strong and we continue to see an interesting pipeline of acquisition opportunities to complement our organic growth. "There is strong momentum in the business and we are, therefore, confident of further significant progress in the new financial year." | broadwood
02/10/2017 07:22 | AOP achieved revenues of US$3.7 million for the year ended 31 December 2016 and is expected to be earnings neutral in RWS's 2018 financial year, as the benefits from RWS's sales team and back office synergies are realised. Andrew Brode, Chairman of RWS, commented: "The acquisition of AOP is a natural fit to accelerate the development of our growing Patent Information division and will provide clients with a complementary, online resource to aid their intellectual property research needs. "We see a number of opportunities for the business to benefit from RWS's scale and global presence, particularly given our established sales team's ability to offer clients the fuller range of intellectual property services across multiple geographies, so we are excited about the potential for this additional service going forward." | broadwood
