06/1/2022 16:18 | Topped up again today. Don't know whether, amongst other things, the share price fall is due to the CFO exit. Avon Protection have just appointed a new CFO today. His name: Rich Cashin. Perfect. | robinnicolson

14/12/2021 10:27 | I am guessing the market is reacting to the statutory, rather than 'underlying' figures. It never likes 'adjustments' but this is inevitable in a year when there has been a substantial acquisition and all the one-off costs that flow from that. What I really like about this company is the cash generation, and that seems to remain as good as ever. Although already stuffed to the gills with these, I have taken the opportunity to add some more. | jeffian
14/12/2021 10:10 | #1226, "we are particularly pleased with the pace and effectiveness of our integration of SDL, which contributed to a better than expected profit performance." | jeffian
14/12/2021 10:07 | Good but not good enough seems to be the market's view. I suppose that the share price is at least in the middle of the last 2 yr's trading range. | wad collector

28/10/2021 09:37 | Winsome .Good question - where did the cash go?Article in Investors Chronicle recently flagging that they thought some costs were excluded from the profit figure.Anyway, thought the statement would have resulted in a bigger rise, back to the highs.Eps for 2022 is 28p ! | brain smiley
27/10/2021 08:19 | I bought in during the summer based on share price weakness and am sitting on a tidy profit. I'd like to buy more as the price should easily hit 700p or more again. This one bounces around a bit. I'd like to hold long term too but I see their NAV ex intangibles hasn't grown in previous 5 years. They've made over 200m profit last 5 years and paid out half that in divs but the other 100m hasn't added to NAV, except goodwill. I always like to see my longterm investments increase their NAV ex tangibles. Would welcome thoughts on this one. Yes, I know they are a services company and are asset light. | winsome
27/10/2021 05:44 | Steady performer - as usual. Glad that I topped up when the share were around the mid 500 level. More to come here. | ygor705

26/10/2021 09:41 | So pretax profit will be ahead of the £111m consensus. I like the sound of that. Surely a progressive divi policy will be reinstituted? | wad collector
26/10/2021 09:01 | Aye, cracking statement. You have to love the cash generation of this business. So many acquisitive companies load themselves with debt and end up highly-geared, or dish out shares like confetti to dilutive effect, but RWS is able to pay down any debt so quickly that is inherently debt-free. Cash generation and low debt/net cash have become a key issue for me in making investment choices. Whatever accounting shenanigans go on in the way companies present their accounts, you can't hide cash or the lack of it; it's either there or it's not. With RWS, it always is. | jeffian
26/10/2021 06:08 | Trade Update begins "A strong performance with profit ahead of expectations." Full Year 14th December 2021 | togglebrush
19/10/2021 15:24 | Trading statement will be on 26th October - just checked the RWS website. | brain smiley |
