02/12/2014 17:02 | JAF1948 - I agree with you - there is no reason to vote it down. Any rns issued will be placed on the board by someone. Obviously non-holders trying to stir it. | cheshire2
02/12/2014 15:44 | Amazing - someone has voted me down for posting an RNS. Care to tell me why ? Edit: 2 people now. Further edit: If people want to vote down my posts when I comment on a share, that is their prerogative and I accept that different people will always have different views. However, to vote down an RNS which has NO comment added and then to hide behind the anonymity of the posting is not a redeeming character trait. | jaf1948

RCA approved the prosecution From 2009 to date, the project has not materialized by the questions that was made to the EIS and subsequent modification. "The original project complies with all environmental regulations, we wanted to make an improvement and we were told that improvement had to order it through a relevant, but not by a statement or environmental impact study and the relevance it had to be reviewed by all the Evaluation Commission Environment (...) that rejected the change, which surprised us, because this project is clean energy, natural gas replaces diesel, is energy for the region is not for mining, is a plant it will not work consistently, only in time of power outage or emergency, "the legal adviser. "To be told liars indeed relevant letter is requested modification diesel number two and so it is written, but we are making every effort to operate from day number one natural gas" specified Lanza recalling that Rurelec has another project in Mejillones thermoelectric where analyzes bring natural gas to Arica f there were so many problems, why not submit it again as EIA and generate citizen participation? AA: "It is a sum of things. This project was purchased from a Chilean company with all environmental permits at the time, after authorization for improvement that occurred initially requested and then spent all this trouble that ended in the Supreme Court and it took all this. As a matter of time, thinks the RCA is coming down, and there is a kind of pressure because this has a cost ... ". JL: "Chile is a country where a person who wants to invest have all guarantees and advantages, and we as English company have believed it, bought a project approval, we made a technological modification, have passed us by regulation, on that basis we bought the turbine which is stored a year ago in Arica, we bought all auxiliary equipment and terrain. We are ready to invest and have been submitted to us this whole series of problems that speaks badly of the country " We have received information that there is movement in the field of work what about you? AA: "We have not taken any truck, anything, nor have we begun to make the perimeter fence of the site". JL: "Our obligation is signaled on the road" no pass ", and for that we have contacted archaeologists to help in splitting will place signs so that no truck flow is diverted and could damage archaeological sites they are 300 meters from the location of our land and out of the way ". What will happen if they do not talk to the opposition sectors to the project? AA: "We must continue to work with the community and develop a fluid and constant dialogue with the support of the authorities, we want to be a member of Arica. We see no reason why not reach consensus with environmental groups. " Minister Pacheco A key appointments for the company was the meeting with the Minister of Energy Máximo Pacheco. According to the director of projects and development in Latin America, the minister said "best operating day one with natural gas and we will support all efforts to reach as soon Arica". "The technology you want to use, if we can make the change, is modern, non-polluting. That is why the Agenda of the Minister Pacheco wants to increase the use of natural gas, because more friendly and has greater benefits, "said Arias above with google translate appears officials on our side but not the locals (nothing new there) but does not translate very well. | cheshire2

16/11/2014 16:17 | jeddicat you are right I should have read the RNS down to the bottom. Also I confirmed what they (and you) say; once approved by the EGM and Court the premium account reduction can be used for dividends. There is of course a slight problem in that reducing the share premium account is just a paper exercise. It doesn't create any cash. But £4m+ at half year wasn't too shabby although the borrowings are still rather higher. So it all depends on the strike value and structure of any deals for bringing in partners and/or selling off assets. RUR looks as if it is reinventing itself as a project construction business rather than electricity producer. Not necessarily a bad thing but produces more erratic profits. | grahamg8

12/11/2014 09:55 | vyke and the rest, Rurelec is a small AIM company but with huge prospects and brilliant projects, blue chip interest tells you where this could go and 10p doesn't even come close imo | swooped

12/11/2014 09:32 | lets have a continued and controlled rise back to NAV and beyond, should be some excellent news flow: 1. Partnership deals for Chile and Peru 2. 25th Nov general meeting (already cast my vote in favour) 3. High court passes ruling. 4. Return to dividends which means the Latin American pension funds could buy in, who knows where we could be in 6 month time Nav and beyond? Other nice comments: - 'very serious blue chip partners' so not 2 bit companies - In a very good place right now, enthusiasm, beauty contest and in a position to choose. - Chile initial 300MW can take to 500MW. - Peru over 400MW worth of approved hydro projects. | swooped

11/11/2014 14:39 | grahamg8 - Well, the BoD's are asking for £45m. Page 3 of the RNS, under Notes for Editors/Highlights, para 4, it states- Utilising the sums arising from the Capital Reduction to (i) eliminate the accumulated losses in the profit and loss reserve of the company and (ii) create distributable reserve to allow the Company to pay dividends in due course. In any event, I think the main reason for this move is that 'partners' will not sign up unless and until the Company is free of so much debt, irrespective of how it was accumulated. Regards | jeddicat
10/11/2014 15:38 | ok. This is good then. consolidation would be bad. | vyke82
10/11/2014 08:16 | Ex HL. MCap £22.46m, NAV £58.33m at 31/12/13. You just move £20m from share premium account to retained earnings thereby wiping out accumulated losses. The NAV figure stays the same. I think there is a rule that you can't create a profit from reserves so the amount to be reallocated can't be more than the losses so far. The share premium account would still have £47.37m. All future profits would then be added to the roughly zero retained profit/loss and so potentially distributable as dividends. | grahamg8
