I don't think thats right, though I read it the same way. Looks like the been lifted from the KID document on their website. That says

Tansaction costs 0.12%
Other ongoing charges 1.36%

Looks like about 1.5% ish.

It is not the share to own in a bull market. You are 'paying' for protection against a downturn, which will surely come at some point, and you are getting a small reward at the same time. However by buying at strategic moments you can perhaps get 5% net out of this along with the insurance it offers. Under that scenario, not too bad.

when though Elm, will soon be a year since I bought in at 230 and we will be back there shortly, thats zero growth, not a happy bunny not even the 1% it aspires to.

TBH bought 20k worth at 30p several months ago to see them drop back to b/e but I expect another leg up here soon, I hear ruffer just made a huge stake on the Vix

Japanese equities, Japanese currency, USD denominated or USD related oil stocks perhaps. But they have a lot in Sterling as well so don't really know the reason. This continues to be a mystery but cannot forget how well it performed during and after the 2008 crisis.

Recommend looking at capital gearing, it's frequently up (albeit slightly) on down days. Doesn't move about muchat all. Pnl has also done well recently.

I'll prob leave this be for now, it did do well in the last crisis - hopefully that wasn't just a fluke.
