£1k-£2k a day being paid for change consultants in the City, nowhere near responsibility of a CEO. Its all relative.

Good results out today given the Q3 slowdown and following the strong Q4 recovery.

I calculate 7p adjusted EPS, well ahead of 6p forecasts, adding back the £173k of amortisation.

The 3p dividend is spot on forecasts - a 5.6% yield.

The outlook is strong too, with a positive start to 2017 in all divisions.

Ganymede should continue to thrive with the Network Rail contract, the smart meter opportunity etc. ATA should also benefit from the government focus on infrastructure spending, and GSS is stable with further opportunities. Plus the Derby Conference Centre is now complete in terms of investment, is re-let and better utilised (not sure Derby will get promoted this year though!).

True.

Anyone know Whitman Howard and Spark Advisory who they changed to at the start of the year. Will their research, if any, reach the masses?

Things have gone eerily quiet (both in terms of here and in terms of the share price) ahead of Monday's results.

I'd like some further colour on exactly why RTC had such a good H2 that enabled them to meet expectations following the earlier setback, and what has caused such a positive outlook for this year. WH Ireland would be better placed to get this info from the company than anyone else.

Given the turnaround in sentiment this would be the ideal time to reiterate forecasts and provide further detail as per the above.

The year end trading statement isn't any old statement, it's the most important one of the year!

Every analyst/broker usually updates after trading statements, whether to reiterate or adjust existing forecasts, so I'd expect a reiteration of forecasts at the least, until the prelims are released and a further update is issued.

There's nothing for them to update us on? There was just a trading statement....and an investor transaction....

Anyone seen an update from WH Ireland since Friday's excellent update? Doesn't appear to have been anything yet.

I'm assuming that at this stage they'll retain their existing forecasts of historic 6.2p EPS with 7.7p EPS for this year. Plus the annual 3p dividends.

Thanks phar - now I know when and why I looked at Morson Group.

The management buyout of Morson in 2012 was at just £23m
Adj PBT in 2014 was £16.3m!!!
Now that is what I call a good deal!

The bottom of the RNS says that the Morson CEO acquired them from Bespoke Venture Capital LLP. Hopefully this also clears an overhang.

Tis/Riv - Thanks for flagging the Morson CEO investment. Hadn't realised who it was. I have looked at Morson Group a few years back but can't recall why.

I view this RNS as more significant than the TS given that Morson are also described as a Technical, Rail and Engineering Recruitment Specialist so he should know value when he sees it.

I managed to grab a few more at 55p when I realised

No, I saw the update but probably got a bit too excited about the other stuff!

A reverse takeover would be nice (!) if they fancy a listing but it is interesting that the announcement came within minutes of the trading update. Obviously he could not negotiate a price and issue an RNS in that timescale so when did he buy and for what reason?

PS And at what price?

Indeed Tiswas, I just looked up the bloke's details myself - Morson's CEO no less!

But why has he picked up 8% of RTC on his own account? Presumably that means as an industry insider he simply sees it as a good bet rather than putting RTC "in play"?

I thought you'd missed the trading update, which was equally important :o))

Managed to add a few on the late announcement
This is very positive as the last TS in late October was a warning!

Excellent trading update, confirming historic EPS is in line at 6.2p EPS, and also a positive outlook for this year with 7.7p EPS forecast:

The 3p dividend forecast for each year is not insignificant too :o))

The share price should climb back to 70p-80p now, and potentially a fair amount more imo if ATA is back to form as the results suggest, given Ganymede's long-term and secure Network Rail contract.

They must have had an excellent H2 - I had my doubts about whether they'd make the numbers following the last numbers. Why they didn't RNS the ATA contract I posted earlier is beyond me.
