RTC were mentioned as one to watch on the Small Cap radio show yesterday...

Saw that 5k yesterday well done. I've never seen a small cap move so rapidly on such small trading there really is a small amount of stock about, which is good for small players like me. We have to remember we're 4/5 fold in the last year/two years so into new territory really for RTC since 5/6 years ago. Obviously network rail deal is massive and I personally see £1 as a target short term but not really here for the short term. As Buffett said once - "I invest on the basis that they could shut the stock market and not re-open it for 5 years."

LOL. Added 5k RTC, which was all that was available online, at 69p. Offer now up to 70p and I cannot get an online quote for 2k.

Shanking take a look back over the last 10 years. Thanks to new management though I see no reason why this should manifest again, which is why there is value & volatility.

Well RTC has been showing no signs of mucking up while I have held their shares.

This is getting a bit silly.

Quite a few of my favourite small caps are off 20% or more over the last few months and this looks like they might be joining them.

Not sure if this is just a liquidity issue, a few sellers after a good year or so, or a sign of a rotation out of small caps in which case you have to ask the question why?

I read that US and European economies improving but equity markets do not seem so sure. A santa rally this year to save the day?

Purely an FYI...

AFAIAA, nothing significant is changing here (for RTC) beyond what NR have already announced.

Nothing shanks I can see to justify but we've been on quite a good run, I suspect things are going to be volatile.

Any news here please that would justify a 5.5p share price drop? Nothing GO had to say today appeared to be negative for RTC, unless there is something hidden away in the small print.

I suspect it is a sad fact that costs are over running and the majority of that will be labour and supply of them. RTC are approved suppliers and we can only supply at market rates.....demand and supply will set the rate and the project has deadlines to meet.

Is the news for the 1.2bn electrification overspend good news for us? I would think so.

As I stated on here a month ago...

...the comment by the company in the interim results is based on the following forecasts and expectation in the market from WH Ireland....

2015 pbt £1.5m and eps 7.7p
2016 pbt £1.7m and eps 8.7p

so still a fair way to go if they hit or beat those figures.

The WHI forecast for 2015 is 7.7p rising to 8.8p for 2016.

allenby 2015 forecast was 5.2p , whi eps forecast 6.6p. I guess some of that due to the acquisition.

WHat should the pe be here- historically about 11 but with some growth now maybe 14 so maybe fair value low 90's

lets hope they beat forecast as else we are getting toppy.

Thanks David, I'll look at UNG. I'll definitely be in RTC soon.

I vaguely remember Inditherm (possibly made incubators for the Japanese health market). Did they ever come good?

This has all the ingredients I'm looking for in an AIM small-cap. Profitable, growing, dividend paying, reasonable valuation re P/E and NAV, consistent and long-term upwards movement in share price, and, above all, many of the former LOQ holders are invested here!

Was reliving that just the other day. 3p to 850p trough - peak in under 10 years.
