I've always been stuffed with consolidations, RSA no exception!

Another week and another fall.

The piranha effect, taking a bit by bit until its too late to notice you have been stripped of your wealth.

Was Hester really the right choice in the first place or is RSA just in dire straits.

Redundancies in HR moving to India.

Selling off assets around the globe.

Divide the price by 5 for the true real value = 90p

StockMarketWire.com - Adrian Brown, Director, bought 26 shares in the company on the 7th July 2014 at a price of 480.60p. The Director now holds 1,588,049 shares.

WOW, really had an impact on confidence with them 26 shares.

Share price currently equivalent to 92p in pre rights issue and STILL falling every week.

Same old scenario, 1 step forward then 2 steps back.

No wonder people believe it is heading south.

The sudden drop was 2%

Have some perspective, it's the equivalent of 96p in old money!

RSA has appointed Steve Lewis as CEO for the UK and Western Europe. He will join the company with effect from 01 January 2015.

That spike is very likely to have been created to take out stops, it's just like thieving from investor/traders! Happens every now again but little can be done to stop it.

That sudden drop has caught many a stop loss to activate. I wonder what caused that spike and Is that a premonition of what is about to happen ?

Only reason for a share consolidation is that in future the share price can make a journey back to 100p if things go pear shaped....merry go round...

This share has steadied nicely. Hester has calmed down the doubters, done a good job making the company more financially stable and will control the company well IMO.
Pre calamity, rsa has been up at 130p in old money, 650p in new so I guess next stop would be 600p and restating dividends. Timing probably early next year.

Thanks loganair I understand that and also that the 7.5p deferred shares would have no value as they can be cancelled at any time.I expected to find they had already been cancelled as part of the paperwork but can't find anywhere that says they have been.

woodwards26 - No one has lost out. For example is one held 1,000 shares prior to the consolidation one now owns 200 new shares.

One own 5 times less shares with the share price increasing by 5 times.

Any thing else was just an excerise in paperwork.

The share consolidation broke the original 27.5p share into 20p share and a deferred 7.5p share. Then 5 20p shares became the new £1 share that I understand. But my question is what has happened to the deferred 7.5p shares. There is mention that the board can cancel them without payment to holders so therefore valueless. But have they now been cancelled ?I have read this but must have missed what they have actually done with the. 7.5p shareshTTp://rsagroup.com/rsagroup/uploads/reports/RSA_AGM2014_Notice.pdf
