Just checking this weeke events, Financial diary and RPC website has Wednesday 28th for interims (not 29th Cheshire Pete)


...though could be changed of course with ongoing events. Maybe we will hear something tomorrow, this Monday perhaps different as last one before interims...zzz.....or maybe not.
Maybe they all enjoy sitting together at weekends getting takeaways with packaging supplied by RPC??

Shorts reduced further to 5.17%, maybe getting a bit nervy.

5.09% as of 16th Nov. Interim results due on Thursday 29th Nov.....interesting.

5.01% as of 23rd Nov. according to short tracker Castellain Capital.

Aside from the potential acquisition, the collapse in oil price will benefit the business in the second half of the financial year.....plastic resin prices will almost certainly track oil lower and the company will benefit from raw material pricing tail winds as opposed to the head winds faced in the first half of the year when resin prices were rising. All very positive imo

Shorts now down to 5.32. Quite a drop from 9% a few weeks ago. Promising ahead of half year at end of month

Or it could be in the best interests of long term shareholders not to be take over at all and have to find another home for their money and perhaps lose their gains.

If the BoD read and more importantly support the valuation as prepared by gambo555, hopefully, this will make them all the more determined to seek a top dollar price for the company. One can imagine that the inherent growth characteristics he identifies should make the company more valuable with each passing month and therefore the extended due diligence/negotiation period might therefore prove to be in the shareholders' best interests.

Thoughts of cosy deal crossed my mind recently, with hindsight of another takeover, but have no reason to apply here..though have zero news, so can't make any judgement calls.
