Billywhizz, sorry but you have misread the 8th March release. It says that within 28 days Berry/RPC will issue the formal offer documents including the notices for the Court meetings.

I just take it to be that a date, no later than 28 days after 8 March has been set for a document to be issued.
It is up to the parties involved to dance around their handbags, to get the ducks in place to meet the deadline.
Maybe they will need lessons from Granny May. She has recent form:-)

My original understanding re Berry/RPC acquisition procedures were as follows:

1.Berry offer doc. Issued on 8 March (could be subject to various amendments
prior to next phase).
2. Offer would be implemented by a Court Sanctioned Scheme up to 28 days
after 8 March.
3. Court Sanctioned Scheme Doc. to follow.
4. Corporate action notices issued as previous re. s/h voting.

I’m not trying to teach anybody how to suck eggs, but the point is that the
Offer Doc. is not the Court Sanctioned Scheme Doc. (although the Offer Doc.
does refer to the mandatory content of some of the Scheme Doc’s content).

If any contributor (except the nut job) feels that I have not got this point not quite correct, then I would certainly welcome their advice and views, as I’m sure that your replies will all be cordial and helpful.

Document received is dated 8 March 2019.

Extract:
Paragraph 6
"........the Scheme Document will be sent to RPC Shareholders as soon as reasonably practicable, and in any event (save with the consent of the Panel) within 28 days of this Announcement."

I take that to be 28 days from 8 March 2019.

I received a ‘Corporate Action’ notification from iWeb earlier today confirming to me that an offer had been made from Berry of £7.93 and the will keep me informed of future developments.

I'll tell you what I'm trying to achieve. Their's this persistent nut-job that should have 'tine' as a suffix to their post name, who really is not a fit person to take part in a forum of this nature and should retire to their local care home as soon as possible. This will definitely be my last comm. to you 'Richard Top-piece'

PH.

Claim to have received it !!

ffs. I've sent you the link and supplied you with accurate 'Potty Training' instructions on how to open the Doc. Either you can use the internet or you can't.
I've told you that once you've got past the disclaimer, the next page, in HTML format, is the list of Doc. contents, then click onto the section you want and magically the contents of that section will appear in PDF format. Now don't pester me again on this subject, in fact I've already told you to ignore all my posts, in future please do so OK.

Where is Berry's offer document you claimed had been received by your broker?

Yes Billywhizz1, my point being that the 'market forces' will not influence whether Berry go higher, will merely indicate that they will need to.

Creeping up on the expectation of a 'No' vote, and Berry coming back with a better offer.
prokartace re #3347 - the impact of Berry not increasing will be a market reaction. Berry's decision to walk or otherwise, not that of the market.

SP reached 7.975 this morning, no prizes for guessing who's winning this battle between Berry and the Market. Good news for us investors providing Berry respond with an increased offer and don't just walk away.

If they buy at above their offer price they are obliged to offer that price to everyone. They can buy as many shares as they like below the offer price but not above

I can't see them raising their offer if there isn't another bidder in the offing and their offer has been recommended and not yet voted on. If they are picking up the sold shares, they might be able to ensure their offer is voted through. Just thinking aloud. Now you can all tell me where I'm wrong. Are they allowed to buy at this stage. Didn't it say at the outset that they didn't own any?

unfortunately prokartace, the market isn't always right - let's hope Berry do get their hand in their pocket for a (decent) whack more. A short-term melt-down likely if they don't.
