17/4/2019 23:11 | i assume the verdict will be delivered shortly after midday on the RPC website? | bottletop1
17/4/2019 22:05 | Yes, it's too late now. Court Hearing is 11am tomorrow. | jeffian
17/4/2019 21:56 | I work long hours and don’t get a lot of time, so haven’t stayed on top of this. So, if the decision is tomorrow, my broker should have given me a chance to vote right? | mauricemonkey
17/4/2019 21:52 | What will tomorrow bring?............. | jeffian
17/4/2019 17:04 | whizzer Whilst we wait for the last rites explain your post if you will (can) "A Share-Swap is not a cash transaction, it is a synergy risk which in this instance is shared by Berry and RPC. The ratio difference between the Berry share price and the RPC share price is then applied to the share exchange between the two companies. The £8 sale referred to in P/N 3471 IMOP is a share exchange and not a cash sale.) " | phillis
16/4/2019 21:07 | All, the six month wait COULD be 6 months of share save for employees, Apollo said if you pay for 6 months they would pay for the full 3 year share save, however Berry has not published the same offer as yet? or should I say not that I am aware of I am an RPC employee. | quick fit
16/4/2019 17:21 | Have a look at these boule. Astra-Zeneca New Fund Launch by HL. | billywhizz1
16/4/2019 16:00 | Let's get past Thursday first! | jeffian
16/4/2019 15:39 | Oh Lord. I now do understand. Thanks for the education, chaps. I don't like the taste of those eggs, however! That is a helluva long time to have to wait for the dosh and presumably nobody will want to buy them in the meantime and we won't even have the consolation of a div., will we, as if one is paid I seem to remember it will be deducted from the offer price. That really shouldn't be allowed if they keep you waiting so long and that shouldn't be allowed either. I can't remember whether I read all that document at the time and have forgotten it in the interval or never got to the end of it at the time. LOL. Oh well, I wouldn't know what to buy at the moment anyway. Most of the things I've bought in the past few years are showing a loss and I have quite a lot of cash in one ISA doing nothing. There used to be more to life than this! | bouleversee
16/4/2019 15:33 | Booklet said takeover complete early third quarter if it goes. And payment within 14 days | phishflap
16/4/2019 15:30 | Blimey, 6 months, no bread on the table again! | billywhizz1
16/4/2019 14:47 | The timetable set out in the offer doc says "D day" is "A date expected to be early in the third quarter of 2019, subject to regulatory clearances with a longstop date of 15 October, so could be up to 6 months. | jeffian
16/4/2019 14:34 | If the scheme gets approved on Thurs. surely we won't have to wait many months for payment, will we? My Dairy Crest merger by sch. of arr. has an effective date of l5 Apr. and I'll get the cash on 27 Apr. The market is up today so I still think there must be something significant in the share price drop today, which is continuing. It's beginning to look as though it's not going to go through and that news has leaked out but what do I know? Answer: not a lot! I expect we will have to brace ourselves for a bigger drop if it doesn't get approved but we knew that. | bouleversee
16/4/2019 13:51 | Instis don't let much out of the bag as far as their voting intentions are concerned. But never mind boule. the cat will be out of the bag on Thursday. Suit me if the bid fails and major surgery is carried out on the BoD. I note that turnover is healthy but profits seem to have flatlined. The Turks sound happy with Berry's deal. | billywhizz1
16/4/2019 12:28 | Boul those selling below the offer price will include those who need the money in days/weeks rather than wait many months for a few extra pence per share, those who have other places to invest the proceeds where they hope to make a bigger profit than the less than 1% to be gained waiting for Berry’s money and of course those who don’t want the risk the offer may fail. | budgiekevin
16/4/2019 11:43 | Well put Grandma... | bottletop1
16/4/2019 11:14 | Grandma is more interested in why the share price has dropped below the offer price, though not by as much as it looks on the above graph. I can't understand why anyone would want to buy at the offer price (unless they had reason to think a better offer was on the cards) but I can't see why anyone would want to sell at less than the offer price at this juncture either (unless they have reason to think the offer isn't going to go through). Have any of the instis. been selling or indicated that they are voting against Berry's offer? I invite you to (politely, please) teach Grandma to suck eggs. | bouleversee
16/4/2019 10:55 | I take your meaning bouleversee, but come on, even though I detest this type of behaviour,(ruining what I would term as a brilliant forum), sooner or later, someone has to call time on this objectionable character, who continually attempts to assassinate anybody who doesn't agree with his views or his rude and aggressive way of presenting them. | billywhizz1
16/4/2019 10:42 | boule We are just amusing ourselves during the phony war period. Worry not, there is an inevitability that the Sword of Damocles will land on my holding, in the very near future. | redartbmud
16/4/2019 10:29 | Children, children! Do behave yourselves, please! | bouleversee
16/4/2019 09:45 | Thanks redart, Greatly appreciated, but don't worry, blood pressure's fine. | billywhizz1
16/4/2019 09:01 | Last post..... Another statement of the bleedin obvious' ! | billywhizz1
16/4/2019 08:50 | Phillis 3 Apr '19 - 20:55 - 3459 of 3498 Edit 0 0 0 so JPM financial adviser to Berry are buying RPC writing on the wall I´m afraid Phillis 10 Apr '19 - 19:43 - 3471 of 3498 Edit 0 0 0 Not really sure but I note one large transaction at £8 Someones short closure? | phillis
16/4/2019 07:48 | Gee whizz Billy boy. Not worth raising your blood pressure too much. Don't let them get to you. We are in an end game scenario. The chips are on the table, and the wheel is spinning. Berry will either get the required shares, or not. The institutions will decide. | redartbmud
16/4/2019 07:29 | You can scoff, bluster and chuck as many toys out of your pram as you like pal, makes no difference to me. The central issue remains the same. The relevant RNS you referred to in your post 3475 was supplied to us through the good office’s of Jeffian in his link post 3481 and that’s the rns that he and others refer too, so despite you falling off your trolley yet again, for the umpteenth time, nothing changes. You’re a worm wriggling on a stick ! | billywhizz1 |
