17/5/2018 12:26 | Moya Moya nothing ROYAL about ROYAL MAIL. Plug the pension deficit . BONUSES all round no doubt. | hvs
17/5/2018 12:14 | The general picture is really rather underwhelming. I'm not sure I can see the story that would support a strong positive outlook going forwards, too. Holding for now but thinking about selling up. I'd be at about break-even at the current share price so I wouldn't have to feel too bad about doing it. | saltraider
17/5/2018 10:09 | How is Darling Moya going to plug the pension hole ???? | hvs
17/5/2018 10:02 | Careful... spot on about Moya Green giving misleading comments to the market earlier this year. Her comments gave a rocket boost to the share price just in time for her departure - very questionable. She's been taking lessons from Alastair Campbell. | bartram
17/5/2018 08:17 | Postie's didn't get there back pay until May so a big hit on next results. | encarter
17/5/2018 08:08 | I thought Moya Green misled the market earlier. These results are steady, slight progress, nothing more. Overheads must have increased going forward with a generous wage and pension deal. | careful
17/5/2018 07:49 | Hmmmmm. Don't suppose the market is going to be bowled over by that announcement. | cwa1
17/5/2018 07:30 | Thursday 17 May 2018 ROYAL MAIL PLC FINANCIAL REPORT FOR THE FULL YEARED 25 MARCH 2018 Royal Mail plc (RMG.L) today announced its results for the full year ended 25 March 2018. Moya Greene, Chief Executive Officer, said: "It has been another successful year, despite the challenging environment. Group revenue is now over GBP10 billion, a significant milestone, thanks to our geographical diversification and focus on growth. GLS had another strong year. Its revenue grew organically and through targeted acquisitions in higher growth markets. Parcel volume growth in UKPIL was our best for four years. We delivered a resilient letters performance. We continue to focus on cost avoidance and parcel revenue growth in the UK and through GLS. The good cash generation characteristics of our business will support our progressive dividend policy." 14/5/2018 23:22 | Seems like good news often leads to a fall in share price at the moment. Market is weird. So Encarter is probably right ... good or bad figures, the share price will likely fall. It should bounce back fairly quickly, though, all being well. | saltraider
14/5/2018 21:18 | @encarter ... I see where you are coming from. TRP is just the sort of low risk investment that I'd look to make after chancing my fortune with a highly speculative stock like RMG. You'll have a smooth quiet ride with never a doubt or surprise with TRP. Much safer bet! DYOR | saltraider
14/5/2018 20:46 | encarter - your reason? | farmergeorge
14/5/2018 20:22 | It will probably drop. | encarter
14/5/2018 12:16 | Hmmm ... there seem to be rampers in the house. Time to be careful. RMG has performed well of late. But I see it as a long-term hold based on fundamentals, particularly in the light of developments in the retail sector. Looking forward to a good set of figures later this week. Not expecting the share price to sky-rocket, though. | saltraider
11/5/2018 18:14 | All long-term holders who bought at all sorts of prices and felt trapped for so long have now been able to get all their money back. Therefore that selling pressure has now gone, the brakes are off and I have no idea how high this could go or how fast it will go there, all I do know is that you need to hold on to your hats. | exotic
11/5/2018 17:28 | Yep I put all my eggs in this basket at 372p with a 750 target. With such a short term gain I'm looking to be out around 700 now. Then it's all going in to TRP. | encarter
11/5/2018 15:58 | A remarkable performance in just 7 months | europa79 |
