10/9/2017 15:48 | Moya green's 2 page letter to employees with the latest offer is realistic and business like. The unions response will be predictable but it will be down to the vote. The unions of course hate private shareholders. A difficult situation. Cannot see the management backing down because they cannot afford to. Is all of this in the share price after the recent falls? | careful

04/9/2017 14:16 | forgetting market issues and concentrating on the business. If RMG could be efficient enough and have enough financial discipline to make a pre tax profit of $500m or more from its £10bn turnover it would be a good sound investment at todays price. Everyone would benefit, jobs would be safer. No one wins when it is inefficient. I hope the unions see sense over their 35 hours week and big pay rise demands, and that a decent compromise is achieved on pensions. | careful
04/9/2017 14:05 | It'll take a pretty long time for RMG to regain FTSE100 status. In order to return they will need to be positioned 90th. or better in the index to replace a company that is 110th. or lower in the index Currently that means the shares would need to be at about 520p or higher. | bartram
04/9/2017 13:47 | doing nothing is often the best policy in this game. | careful
04/9/2017 13:47 | Was about to enter sub 398 | action
04/9/2017 13:46 | I was saved by someone on this board when I wS Bout to enter again . | action
04/9/2017 13:20 | This is becoming my weakest investment. Down from 527p over the last 12 months (-27%) is awful in a strong market. Just bought a few more today but this will not recover until ongoing union negotiations are sensibly resolved. Many thought this share would be a steady utility. Others thought it had a 1970's culture and union problem that would weaken it. Hoping for the best over the next few months, well underwater here, hoping it is so unloved that a bounce is possible. | careful

31/8/2017 16:17 | It sounded good getting £193.5m in cash until you read the RNS. The monies are being received in stages spread over a few years and they are paying £100m to separate the site. Do they really need to keep any of it ? Sell the whole damn lot and save £100m. | tyranosaurus
31/8/2017 15:53 | From tomorrow, Canadian CEO Moya Greene will know 50% less about what's going on with Royal Mail.. | exotic
31/8/2017 13:55 | It begs the question how much does any CEO know what is going on within their company...particular | diku
31/8/2017 12:14 | careful, RM has a management culture problem typical of a government dept, lots of internal politics, and a tendency to shoot any messengers when they don't like the message, no matter how true the message might be. I was recently told by one of their drivers that a 7.5 ton van ran 200 miles a day empty, five days a week for five years! It could only happen in RM, a real business would notice in a couple of days or less. | lefrene
31/8/2017 11:45 | It's all about the market cap I'm afraid | mbmiah
31/8/2017 11:14 | out of the ftse100. £10bn turnover, £5bn assets, over 100,000 employees. how does that happen to a 300 year old institution such as this? | careful
31/8/2017 09:47 | Selling off assets to keep the share price looking healthy never works for long imo. | gbh2
31/8/2017 09:11 | Let the CWU run it for the benefit of its members, that'll work, NOT! | oiht |
