cmackay. Yes, that is why you say you have only a small stake in Rose. Nothing Rose has done over the last 5 years gives me any confidence in them. As I said before, you would be better giving your money to charity than put in here. At least if you gave your small stake to charity it would do some good. But each to their own.

What pre-revenue oiler doesn't lose millions? And as I said, I believe a major would want it derisked much more than it has been to this point.

cmackay, Rose have lost millions of pounds over the past years. Who in their right mind would lend them anymore money. As I said before, if they had something special in the Paradox one of the major oil companies or energy companies would be funding them. It would probably be best to give your money to charity than to put in here.

Well, that's where funding will have to come in to the equation. I don't believe they have developed the project nearly enough to be at the point of selling it on. It will take a lot of money to get there, but could possibly generate substantial upside. It's also plausible that it doesn't, as I said I've only taken a small stake here.

cmackay. Rose have had plans for many years, but unfortunately none of them have made the humble PI any money. What is the point of having a plan if you have no money to develop the plan. Anyone with any common sense looking at Roses past financial record, can see what will happen next! And surely if Rose have something special in the Paradox, one of the major oil companies or energy companies would have bought them out by now! Any news on the Gypsum plant in Cuba?

Thanks southcbubble. At the risk of sounding glib, my take is that rose has a great portfolio with no funding to exploit it. Get the beans, grow the beanstalk. I do take recent pdmr activity as a sign that there is at least a plan, which is a glimmer of hope. But it is only fair to add, I have only taken a small stake here, in accordance with risk management strategies that we must all apply.

cmackay, I cannot see anything happening with this share, we have had years of this company making very large losses. I cannot see that the new management team will be able to turn this company around! Perhaps the CEO and past CEO and directors of this company could invest lots more of their own money to fund the drilling of the Paradox, but I cannot see them taking that risk. What is your take on Rose cmackay?

Southcbubble, you have been bearish on rose for longer than I've been on the rose forums. don't you see any change coming with the new personnel? how about their investment of their own money being a sign of faith in the portfolio?

Ticked up yesterday on that delayed 500k buy. Will be HSBC loading up, expect another holding RNS soon. Looking a Hot Prospect now, ROSe that is.

Will take a little profit at 10p then let the rest ride...

Looks like the is a shift to get control of the company to me. Tricky thing to do at this level as buying quickly will push the cost up quickly. Might see steady growth for a few months.

But what then? share buyout perhaps?

Just ticked up and buying is building here. HSBC increasing is a big positive, looks like BIG News coming here. With limited Shares in issue we will move fast..10p plus on the cards imo.
