Taken from today's RNS:

"The acreage represents an estimated post-tax net present value to Rose Petroleum of USD59 million, a significant premium to the company's current stock market capitalization of USD2.5 million."

Well, if this comes off that's a 20+ bagger from today's price.
But then one has to consider how let down Rose investors have been for years.
However, "if" this new strategy works it might be worth chucking in a few bob with "money that one can afford to lose" as the payday will be phenomenal sometime down the road, the road being sometime in 2020 I guess.
Typical of AIM sometimes there is a one-off that actually does pay off and this might, just might be it if one considers what seems to be a far more insightful and qualified management team on board now.

Interesting one - food for thought!

Leeroy Jenkins, I thought we were supposed to have funding for the Paradox by April 19.

Has Rose's presentation at The Global Group UK Investor Show in April 19, improved its share price?

I have a few of these from days gone by.
I caught up with the interims to see where we are now that the adults have taken over. I have paid them minimum attention over the last year.
I see that they had £461k of cash at end June having had an operating cash outflow of £787k in H1 but still felt comfortable signing off on a going concern statement.
Makes sense to me that they are closing down Cuba etcet and concentrating on where they have value added.
It seems that the next RNS will be to announce the acquisition and associated share issue.I see that they have no shareholders with a notifiable stake outside the directors and their chums.
The question is how long will they maintain their London listing which must be a real and expensive drag for them? A good case can be made for a UK Investor to be here to get away from all the UK country risk…but I will pass because I know nothing of these people and think there is a very good chance they will delist from AIM which is always a messy process.
Other views welcome as I ponder what to do with my current holding.

A reassuring introduction to the new guy and largest investor at Rose Petroleum, while Matt Idiens sounds as comfortable as Terry Waite running out of petrol in Beirut.

While I would say this bodes well, I have to point out that the practice of wearing a suit without a tie is one that I personally frown upon. Top button loose with no cravat? At least have the decency to sport a moustache! All looking good on the business front though.

These clowns have the audacity to have a stand at the UK investor show tomorrow to drag in some more mug punters, me being one of them some time ago before the dilutions and their abject failure to deliver anything except their ability to squander shareholders money

I have just watched the Proactive Investors interview released on their YouTube today and I was very pleased with Matthew Idiens' confidence in the development.

Rose concluded its programme to acquire 40 square miles of 3D seismic dataover a key area its acreage position in the Paradox Basin in Utah in late October 2017 and has now completed its initial structural interpretation over a 20 sq.mile lease position called the Gunnison Valley Unit (GVU). Initial seismic interpretation suggests that this area is highly prospective and Rose has alreadyidentified over 50 potential drilling targets.Rose has completed its initial structural interpretation of the 3D seismic data acquired over its Gunnison Valley Unit (GVU) which comprises part of its larger lease positionin the Paradox Basin. Analysis of the 3D data confirms a wide range of key geological structures and the identification of multiple drilling targets. The interpretation is an ongoing process. However, Rose's analysis has identified 53 potential well locations in the Cane Creek reservoir alone within the 20 sq. mile area of the GVU covered by 3D seismic. The map overleaf depicts clearly the focus of Rose'srecent 3D seismic survey within its acreage position.Rose's initial internal resource estimates are consistent with the Ryder Scott competentpersons report (CPR), published in 2014, which covers the company's 85 sq. mile Grand Main leasehold area (including the GVU acreage). For the 20 sq. mile area covered by the 3D seismic data, the report suggests that the gross resource potential is hydrocarbons in place of 450 mmboe and mean unrisked prospective recoverable resources of 32.5 mmboe. In the 2014 report, Ryder Scott also ascribed a chance ofsuccess of 56% for drilling in the Cane Creek reservoir zone which represents a relatively low risk prospect. As the map overleaf also depicts, Rose possesses a further 65 sq. miles of acreage in the Grand Main leasehold area and 48 sq. miles of similar acreage in the Emery Main leasehold area which all contain the highly prospective Cane Creek reservoir zone in addition to other Paradox Formation clastic intervals.Rose will now proceed with further analysis to refine the Cane Creek reservoir zoneresource potential. This work will enable the company to high grade its first well locations and evaluate other areas with the Paradox Formation which consists ofapproximately 24 clastic zones, of which Cane Creek is the primary producing zone to date. The company is currently progressing the Application for Permit to Drill (APD) processfor the highest priority drill target locations with a view to drilling its first well in H2 2018. Rose confirms that it is fully funded for these permitting activities.Rose is planning to exhibit the structural interpretation of its 3D seismicacquisition programme at the upcoming NAPE Summit in Houston Texas from 6- 9 February 2018. The company will use this exciting opportunity to meetpotential investors with a view to acquiring partners and investors to fund future drilling activities through joint venture or farm-in agreements. With negotiationsof this description already underway, we expect news flow to accelerate over Q1.

I wonder if you pursued the following trails, what you might find ?

1) Where did all the money go from the original IPO on AIM ?
2) Where did all the money go from all following Fund raising on AIM ?
3) Who are the latest "Investors", taking at least a 65% share in the Business ?

Theoretically, most Funds from 1) and 2) could have found their way into the pockets of the people behind "the Business" - Admin, expenses, "subsidiaries" ?

Then, theoretically, those Funds (originally from real Investors/PIs) could have been (re)used at each significant "dilutionary Event" to provide an opportunity for the people behind "the Business" to - avail themselves of a continuously growing majority holding, pushing all genuine Investors/PIs aside ?

Eventually, in theory, the people behind the "Business" could take "the Business" into Administration and due to the number juggling & dilution effects over time, on paper and at first glance only the majority Holder(s) would appear to be significantly impacted... but will have walked away with everything... theoretically of course, maybe ?????!!!!!!!!

Of course in another "World", "the Business" could actually prevail and could by any measure achieve a reasonable level of success & good fortune....
