India worried about 62,000 new cases of covid out of population of nearly 1.4 billion 90 percent of that 62,000 will probably recover without suffering any ill effects . My relatives and friends in the villages of punjab are living normal lives and haven't heard of anybody dying of covid. So called expert on bbc 1 is saying that India needs to stop exporting vaccines because of the alarming number if 62,000 new cases out of the population of 1.4 billion.

I am surprised on the small share price movement on Friday considering the speculation about the Spanish aerospace company biding for RR business for $1.5 billions.

How will the suez canal blockage effect air cargo traffic there is no other viable affordable sea route connecting Asian goods to western markets or European goods to Asia even after its cleared it will take many months for normality to be restored

Emirates chief Tim Clarke said while passenger traffic has declined cargo side has taken most of the slack and the airline has only halted handful number of flights. Ppe equipment from Chinese manufacturers has been large part of this .Other airlines have taken out passenger seats to make more space for cargo, So yes airports like Heathrow are not busy but that's because passenger traffic is the most labour intensive side of its operations

Read this link please https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-56544236 The paragraph below (from above) really did it for me but i knew about it and i actually shared that with you all here few day ago Mr Zahawi also told the Telegraph that the government was hoping to have up to eight vaccines available by the autumn - with several made in the UK - including one that could guard against three different variants via a single shot Does the GSK which i brought up several times in the past few days rings a bell? :-) find the post where i said the world will get two gifts from GSK. (They are not mentioning who in this article...but it is GSK it is not JJ their efficiency is lower) GLA

dkit Excellent point and your friend is 100% right One thing we sometimes forget based on assumptions of no flight is happening because it is covid. Let me demonstrate to all of you (including myself) how wrong sometimes we can all be. If you are willing to try this demo with me. Go to you app store or Play and download any flight tracker app I used Flightradar 24 Flight Tracker (Downloaded by millions of people already) So download it and see how many planes across the world are currently moving (live) at any one time. Remember whether they are carry passangers or not is not a point as long as they have RR engine they need maintenance by RR The map becomes very interesting when you go over US, india, China , south america, Australia. I know it is not as much pre-pandemic but it is not like nothing is happening either If you click on each plane you will get the full details. Plenty of traffics going on at the moment Have fun and let me know how you got on :-)

Mcm You raised some interesting points but if i understand this correct you are saying because this took 7/8 months to develop as oppose to 29 years therefore it is less effective. Is that right? I am not sure i agree with that You got to account for where science is today as opposed to even 3 years ago never mind 29 years ago. I am sure you know this but oxford managed to develop this vaccine fast mainly because of the new technique which never was used before and only was developed a year before Covid hit us. If Covid was coming 3/4 years ago i am not sure we would have been to develop any vaccine for it this fast. The advances in science in this area have been fenomenal. I have a friend in GSK as a top scientist and he told me what they can do now days was unimaginable even 4 years ago. Also regarding what you said that... vaccine stopping the symptoms and not deaths... i a. not sure i understood that correctly If you have no symptoms you will not pass it on and you will not die from it and certainly you will not be hospitalised ... vaccine actually covers all of the above and more and extremely effective. Vaccines mean fewer people will get Covid-19 and those who do are far less likely to go to hospital or to die. As well as protecting you, vaccines also help to protect your family, friends and other people you come into contact with Did you know the annual flue jab that many people take every year is ONLY 55% effective? and that vaccine is being developed for centuries year after year and people still catch flue and many thousands sadly die from just having a mild flue. So to me Covid vaccine is a scientific miracle and we truly should feel so lucky it is here and it is protecting millions of people. I respect your point but the reason there are glimpse of hope is because of vaccine, that would save the economy and save millions of jobs and make things move forward I am truly grateful and will have the vaccine (any of them) as soon as my turn. Thanks for sharing your thoughts

ALSO please note i am here and sharing my views purely because i truly believe in this company and what it can do. My positive posts will have NO BEARING whatsoever on the price of RR. you can never ramp or deramp any FTSE100 company ever. They are brought/sold in millions by institutional investors so the reason MM wouldn't have any influences here to dictate the trends. So even derampers here are just wasting their times as it will do nothing to how the price will move. GL IMHO DYOR
