Warren East has confirmed that there are no Boeing 787s grounded as a result of Trent 1000 issues.

While it is nice to see these moves... for me this is a long term hold

A race against time.
After last years huge cash outflow, Warren East said RR had about £9bn of ammunition remaining.

They were assuming 70% of normal airline activity to become cash flow positive, but we are still stuck in the mid 40's.
So another £4bn or so worse off this year.

But things are improving rapidly , and after restructuring RR will be leaner and more financially disciplined than at any time in its history.
Relying on nuclear is a very long term hope.It will take many years to develop this side of the business.

Thursday statement will be influenced mostly by future guidance .

Guys, IAG like RR have issued a lot of new shares, cannot compare old and mew share price, best is to look at the market cap before and now. IAG are almost at the same cap, while RR are still down 40 %. No way on Earth IAG will go back to 600p as this will make them 3x more valuable before the pandemic

The road for IAG is so different to RR.

They have to pay loads of costs to get things up and running
Basically they have to pay RR. (and many others) to maintain and get those plans up and running...all good for RR and not IAG

I doubt IAG goes back to 600 mark anytimes soon. They only have opportunity to make it in ONE sector while RR. can diversify and gain business in multiple sectors and many emerging markets.

The winer is RR. by far i say

I will not put my money in IAG i think it still will make it to 300 but will be hard push beyond that point..

IAG was trading at 600-700p in 2019. It's nowhere near those levels..yet.

IAG losses more than 7billion and trading above 2019 price, American Airlines losses even more and trading at good level! RR would be same boat but it will take few week or month.

Agree, the market knows the last 12 myths has been a disaster for aero based companies. But the mkt is looking forward now which is what investors do. This is one of the few world class companies we have in the uk and currently undervalued

Loses

Why are you repeating your self? ! So you think what you posted is something new ? And market and analysts are so stupid ?
The cash out flow in the history of the company or not seems market like it so much what they see in RR....

Remember Tesla, it is not about cash outflow
It is about the unique expertise, opportunity, niche markets, new markets, innovation, which all RR. can do so well and all those bring huge amount of cash flowing in medium to shorter term....

Expect this to go up even further very shortly ....i say in 4-6 weeks times we are above 130 mark at least.
But as with me i don't care about the short term moves as i am a long term holder beyond 3/5 years that is where the real value of this amazing company is.

IMHO
