Cheers Bh. I reckon that RRE is about to tuck up I3E like a right royal kipper, since AA has much larger cahones than the I3E BODs I though I’d dangle my tootsies here instead.

Dsa requirements have been reduced for 2019 so expect to hold 48m for this period so a cash gain of around 5m

Find it for us pretty please. I'm on the iOS app on a phone and it isn't easy to find anything.

FB that amount is AFTER the buyback, go back about 100 posts and you'll see some FCF numbers for the final quarter. Staggering

Obviously that will be accruing to meet the anticipated share of future costs, given production figures that shouldn't be a problem. I thought I read somewhere that 30% of profits accumulate in escrow to meet future decommissioning liabilities but am happy to be corrected if anyone else fancies doing some research. ;-)

And it doesn't say that £53.8m is the entire extent of the DSA costs.

Haven't they used some of that bank balance to buy back some 3m of their own shares though?

Also mentioned in the year end update (now I have time to check!)...

-- Group production, including the contribution from Dyas B.V since the effective date of the acquisition (1(st) January 2018), averaged 10,772 boepd, with production in December averaging 11,200 boepd.

-- Target production from RockRose's current portfolio for 2019 remains between 10,000-12,000 boepd.

-- As at 31(st) December 2018 total cash at bank was $121.4 million, of which $53.3 million is held in connection with Decommissioning Security Agreements (DSAs).

The recent interview gives a pretty decent understanding of the decom cost process.

basem1 - "should be made stating whether the current disposals are complete or whether they intend to dispose of more."

Are you seriously expecting this sort of information to be given out?! - it simply won't happen, and could not be legislated for either!

td - As far as I am aware decommissioning liabilities should be covered by cash accumulating in escrow. Don't ask me for the reference right now though as I am multitasking, something which I have been told I'm not good at!!! ;~)

I find it interesting that Andrew Austin has decided upon an offshore vehicle for his current project. I'm not sure if his shift from onshore is significant but to me it's interesting.Seabirds don't superglue themselves to railings, I suppose, and they don't have a vote.

I haven't yet bought but have been through the “what am I missing? -process.

I figured it must be the what looks like approximately 250m decommissioning liability. I have sort of viewed it as a (longer term than normal) debt liability so I kind of assume the enterprise value is 330 million odd less cash. (A bit like Premier Oil having revenue of 1 billion but only being worth 0.5billion because of the 2/3 billion debt).
Doesn't necessarily mean it is fairly valued though - I still think it is cheap.

Ordinarily I would jump at a 60%+ premium takeover, however not here. In all my years of investing I haven't seen such a grossly undervalued share. I keep having to ask myself "what am I missing?" which I'm not yet able to answer...
