it should perform the trick and keep going poo bear, especially with higher oil price and if dow holds up tonight ! If MM spread had been .5p or 1p , i would have added to my holding today !

Sell I don't know about you arja but up nearly 19% overnight would seem to be a result.

Now the trick is to keep that going......

tiswas - I will be interested with any result you may get, you will probably hear from Kevin Hird, ROC funnel all UK stuff though him.

And I guess the hedge peaking next year at 845 k and then falling off is in line with falling production? If so not a good thing?

I have e-mailed ROC just to check that the contract volume def is bpd

"but 242k in 2008 when they are producing 10-13k bpd? Thats less than a months worth?".

There are only 3 months in the last quarter so I guess they are about 30% hedged. This should cover any loan repayments they have?

Production from the fields net to ROC averaged 4,800 BOPD for the remainder of September and has increased ROC's current production to over 13,000 BOEPD.

From latest report

poo bear,
etrade "stuffed" it up and I notice I did not buy any as was first reported- they are hopeless and often do not give a price to accept or reject ! Maybe better to just trade it in OZ if opportunity through CFD or with my OZ online broker !!
Good luck .

tiswas, can I assure you that I am no expert.

That disclaimer aside, it would not make good economical sense to hedge a majority of production as that would not allow for increases of decreases in production.

I am still working through the figures, so I also stand to be corrected by anyone who has had the time to complete that task.

Volume = volume per year which is hedged.

Looks to be a big seller out there...... under the bid for a few hundred thou' a time.

What does the volume represent? It cant be bpd as it is very small compared with production so what is it?

Long term I have much more confidence.

hi poo bear ,
just bought a few at 19.6 ! going against my rule as i did not intend to buy on UK market again because of the MMs and being at their mercy and wider spreads at times . But I just get the feeling it could turn up in OZ tonight and hope oil price does not slip back again !

Sorry hedge is $75.25 for 2008 and $70.01 for 2009. these hedges are well in profit as the hedge loss was unrealised.

I thought it was hedged at $78 and yes that was the reason the figures were so bad last time.

a bit of rel;ief on its way IMO.

I'll stick it out.

I Thought they hedged a few million at$70 per barrel, (which was why the loss was so bad) but know the hedge loss eliminated and actually worth something
