10/3/2008 22:44 | A little out of date: | gsands
10/3/2008 19:23 | Well, now we know who has been buying. | liarspoker
10/3/2008 17:51 | Very interesting randsys especially seeing those 500K & 550K's go through last week. Also noticed a few big trades in MPI today 300K+. | liarspoker
10/3/2008 17:00 | Some hefty trades gone through at the end there - someone stake building? Bid on the way? | randsys
09/3/2008 21:19 | I laak this share is nice My wife, she make very much noise when she do a toilet. In my country we say to let a woman drive a car is like to let a monkey fly a plane, very dangerous yes. I say this because, I had a very bad Gypsie attack...they stole my wife, plow... and they touch my horse in a very bad way... he got very depressed. Apologies people, too much vin rouge. bbd | bigbigdave
07/3/2008 16:03 | Cool. Thanks. | stuart14
07/3/2008 15:53 | Yep, fully ISAble. Looking horny this afternoon too 8-) | bigbigdave
07/3/2008 15:21 | Can these be put in an ISA? | stuart14
07/3/2008 10:46 | Yep, also added here this morning after those big trades yesterday. Gotta love that chart as well. | bigbigdave
07/3/2008 10:45 | I agree CR. RWA are indeed cheaper on a price basis but MPI have better fundies although RWA is more cash generative. Ruanne & Co also hold here and it wouldn't surprise me if those large trades yesterday were them adding. Obviously they would have looked at MPI as well. I am happy to leave my recruitment cash split between the two although you are probably doing the right thing by just holding RWA. | liarspoker
07/3/2008 10:40 | Sold MPI and moved the cash into here. RWA look cheaper all round and directors buying heavy. They also look the most likly to be bid for imo and with those large trades yesterday I reckon you can't rule out them being someone taking a strategic stake. CR | cockneyrebel
06/3/2008 16:36 | 4 X 500K & 2 X 550K trades today. | liarspoker
06/3/2008 16:31 | Hmm, a takeover bid would be nice. IMP already in the frame, srctor consolidation looks highly likely on these low ratings. MPI to bid? CR | cockneyrebel
06/3/2008 16:29 | 3 of them actually......Ruanne & co ? | liarspoker
06/3/2008 16:28 | 500K buy gone thru.... | liarspoker
06/3/2008 14:02 | Good chance of a Buy rec in the IC tomorrow imo, after the director buying. CR | cockneyrebel
06/3/2008 11:49 | Yep, dip over imo. | liarspoker
06/3/2008 11:45 | Agreed CR. Especially with the excitement surrounding IMP - plenty of cash/bidders out there to take up the small fry. | nigelpm
06/3/2008 10:36 | Next leg up on the build - reckon these go to 180p pretty soon, especially on the back of that director buying. CR | cockneyrebel
05/3/2008 15:54 | good news at michael page, profits up 52pct. | yewtrees
01/3/2008 10:44 | I'm not so sure Josh. The chart has bottomed on the Aug 05 low and looks like that is a bottom to me. It's certainly a point where we'll see heavy buying again if it returns there. I know there's all the talk that the US isin recession and while I don't think the rest of the world has 'decoupled' as Goldman Sachs originally ramped the ide I do think the US is far less important than it once was. In the 70's and even the 80's the US was a huge part of the global wealth but since then China, the far East, Eastern Euope, Asia, the Middle East and South America have all out grown the US by some way. The $ has also halved in value v many currencies around the world which actually halves their buying power and their global purchasing power. These cyclicals bounce well before you see tangible signs of an upturn. I think with UK and European stocks having fallen so far they will now perform based on PE and performance of the individual companies rather than the whole sectors moving in unison. The only question for MPI will be are they too exposesd to the job losses in the financial sector? This might mak them underperform some recruiters for a time if they are. CR | cockneyrebel
01/3/2008 08:42 | In 1993 I worked with the wife of one of the then Main Board Directors of MPI. Over a rather liquid lunch in Surbiton one Friday, she told me... "buy as many shares in MPI as you can and hold them for at least 3/4 years, you can bet your house on this "... The share price was 76 pence when I was given this advise. At the time I was in my early 20's and had just bought my first property, so had little to invest unfortunately. The shares doubled within 2 years and you know the rest. So if you can time an investment in this Sector near the cyclical low, the upside potential is vast. However, I strongly believe that early 2009 will provide far greater opportunity for long term returns in this Sector, than at present. The last few weeks have presented a nice short term trading opportunity, but there are fresh lows to come IMO. | joshalexander
29/2/2008 16:14 | Added a few MPI today as well BTW. | liarspoker
29/2/2008 16:13 | I sold a few at 168p yesterday and bought back a few at about 153.5 today. I'm not usually a trader in such a style but the spike the other day seemed a bit reckless. :O) | liarspoker
29/2/2008 15:59 | Depends a bit which bumps you connect up. I prefer to consult my astrologer... :) | edmundshaw |
