12/3/2004 16:03 | agree, There has been some decent large buying over the last few days. I think your'e right there is a bit of stake building by someone. BC | brian culank
12/3/2004 16:01 | Couple of largish buys (I think) trades suggest somebody building up a stake in RM 11 March 0010LC9J04 137 12:56 100000 135 138 11 March 102E8RFZ04 141 15:03 300000 139 142 Perhaps an 'change of interest' annoucement will confirm. I'm coming round to your way of thinking Brian - buy and hold med to long term while enjoying the div. Nearly persuaded to buy. | turbocharge
12/3/2004 15:52 | Turbo, I agree. The latest RNS looked great to me. Incresed sales & increased profits. Gov putting more money in to education - all looks positive to me. A tech stock that pays a divi as well. BC | brian culank
12/3/2004 15:44 | Could the tea tea leaves be right? Beginning to look possible - just a matter of the large spread holding me back. | turbocharge
12/3/2004 13:14 | The tea leaves predict that 150+ is a distinct possibility in the near future. | turbocharge
10/3/2004 22:18 | Not actually that much of an "upbeat update" if you read it carefully, rise (purely on the basis of the news) may be overdone. Hard to say if it is time to pick more up as recent history suggests you do better to wait for C. 130. On the other hand, RM is subject to sudden upward lurches. Advice is - wait for 130, buy for long term then - the dvidend is comforting while you wait for the lurch past 150. | blunderbuss
10/3/2004 17:35 | I agree . . . can't get my head around this stock, up and down between 130 and 150.It won't get significantly past 150, yet the company performs well. Sums it up when you look at todays news and we get 4.5p. One guarentee to get the price up . . . if I sell (sods law!) Clearly it is the sector rather than the company. | oxdjr
10/3/2004 16:45 | Looks like there's not much interest in RM - is that good or bad? | turbocharge
10/3/2004 12:30 | Time to pick up some, what say you? | turbocharge
10/3/2004 12:24 | UK smallcap opening - RM rise after upbeat update LONDON (AFX) - Shares in RM gained ground after the supplier of information and communications technology to UK education said both turnover and profits for the six months to March 31 will be significantly ahead of the year earlier, due to an 'unusually high' proportion of the full year profit falling in the first half. In a trading update, the company said turnover for the first half is likely to be more than 25 pct higher than last year. This increase reflects strong contributions from the strategic projects won in 2003, as well as the impact of the acquisition of Forvus and Peakschoolhaus. RM shares were 5 higher at 140-1/2 by 8.03 am. | turbocharge
01/3/2004 21:23 | In terms of numbers it looks as if, in Sentinel, RM have bought more profits than the capital would have earned if it had stayed in the company, additionally they may have scotched a competitor. Looks like a good deal. I wonder when the market will wake up to this one and take it significantly past 150? | blunderbuss
26/2/2004 08:15 | With overall decreasing volumes since the last 150+ peak, and the RSI more oversold than it has been for 2 years, and RM's capacity for sudden upward lurches, these must be a strong buy. Unless there is news out there in the ether that is forcing the price down? | blunderbuss
24/2/2004 14:11 | Top up time! | blunderbuss
06/2/2004 14:25 | Nice Dividend cheque this morning! | gorilla in a suit
08/1/2004 17:54 | Lets hope it continues !! | oxdjr
08/1/2004 09:55 | A preety good start to the new year! | gorilla in a suit
06/12/2003 10:29 | This Friday all 298856 ? trades were dealt at 140 p, so hard to see why they were classified as ? - it seems likely they were sells. Does anyone have any light to throw on this or last observation on ? trades? | blunderbuss
01/12/2003 17:27 | A large majority of the 550,000 shares classified as ? in Fridays' trades were at 147 to 148. They were buys surely? | blunderbuss
29/11/2003 14:24 | Agreed HJ. For my own selfish reasons I would prefer to see them taken down to ₤1 to ₤1.20 first before the buyers arrive, but not much chance of that! | blunderbuss
02/11/2003 22:41 | The Beeb news put an untimely end to the developing buying opportunity. Let's hope the news also heralds the end of BBC meddling in on-line learning. Auntie doesn't always know best! Josephsmith you will sell at ₤1.60 ? - timing of buys and sells is awfully hard to get right and as these are probably on an irregular track to the ₤2 - ₤3 range by the end of next year I will just continue to buy on weakness. | blunderbuss
31/10/2003 17:17 | Got in today at 1.37 Holding on to at least 1.60 | josephmsmith
22/10/2003 22:37 | Buying opp coming up | blunderbuss
24/9/2003 15:50 | Breaking out.... | matthewa
20/9/2003 00:39 | Fair rise on the basis of the good company news + broker upgrades to 160 target. I wish I had topped up a bit more at 121.7 last week but I held my fire hoping for further downward drift, dohhh! | blunderbuss |
