02/6/2017 09:36 | it is SUPPORT level you mean if looking to buy but maybe safer to short on a big intra day rally . | arja
02/6/2017 09:34 | yes , that is the pattern and suggests it might drop to about 2800 in time . But actually the USA is lead market for this stock I reckon and worth looking at USA chart .But RIP is just for trading as are most mining stocks | arja
02/6/2017 09:17 | ArjaAccording to chart is this making lower high and lower low?.Is there any resistance level which could be good entry level pls? | action
02/6/2017 09:11 | This one is too risky but good day trading stock. I prefer Bhp due to Elliote factor | action
01/6/2017 16:12 | christh, Actually I am alwsys wary if a directior buys and especially in OZ where most directors are crooks , especially in mining specs . Sometimes they are looking to offload stock and hope their buys will influence investors to place buy orders . Admittedly , this happens more in second line companies . But RIO has bounced today but iron ore price is a concern | arja
01/6/2017 10:31 | Oh yes the director s buys will increase iron ore prices . LolThat is not even change for the directors . Don't be fooled. The iron ore glut is in China that is where u need to focus christh. Bless the muppet lol | robrah

01/6/2017 08:47 | Rio Tinto Looks To Lower Debt Amid Uncertainty In Iron Ore Prices Rio Tinto has announced plans to further lower its debt burden, as it looks to strengthen its balance sheet amid an uncertain iron ore pricing environment. The company announced plans to buy back $2.5 billion of outstanding debt earlier this week. The company has been trying to lower its debt burden over the past couple of years due to a business environment characterized by weakness in iron ore prices. Under the simplifying assumption that the company is able to meet its business expenses from its operating cash flows and existing cash balances, the following table indicates the extent to which the company will have lowered its debt by year end. (The debt figures indicate year-end or projected year end gross debt balances.) See RIO Debt Reduction 2015-17 .................... Gross Debt............$Mil EBITDA.............. Gross Debt/EBITDA......... Given the concerns over the sustainability of demand from the world’s largest consumer of iron ore, Rio Tinto’s move to shore up its balance sheet would stand the company in good stead in case of a further decline in prices. | christh
01/6/2017 08:35 | Pls dont forget the key variable in the company performance. The price of ore ! U clown lol | robrah
01/6/2017 08:34 | 22/5/2017 Rio Tinto to Buy Back Bonds to Reduce Debt Rio Tinto Group, the world’s second-largest mining company, offered to buy back as much as $2.5 billion of its bonds as part of a new plan to reduce its debt. Bloomberg's Paul Allen reports on "Bloomberg Daybreak: Asia." (Source: Bloomberg) | christh
01/6/2017 08:34 | My my see how the christh s broker target have fallen . He is not even expecting to hit 32 now. This was the same guy ramping when this was 35 to hit 40 . Since the the share had fallen to 28 lol He says he has filtered me but seem to respond to my exect point . Oh it is so funny | robrah

01/6/2017 07:06 | Oh dear another down day in ozChristh are we there yet at u r target. Dint u say this was going to be a quick and easy trade ?Thanks to u r ramping .some poor soul is now stuck in a "long term trade" | robrah
31/5/2017 16:30 | Traded some back at 3108 just before the bell. 2% in a week prob not worth the risk but sometimes I get itchy fingers... | wad collector
31/5/2017 11:26 | action, S32 is fascinating and easy way to make money on it almost every day but need a fast trigger finger in opening auction or not be plagued by loss of internet 5 seconds before 8am opening as happened to me today and missed a quick £200 or so within a few minute period - most irritating ! ( smile ). Often a chance again during the day always remembering that OZ is lead market for this stock with UK trying to anticipate next move down under but quite often they get it wrong as happened last night when down 7 in OZ but UK expected a slight uptick ! RIO chart shows downtrending short term pattern sadly . | arja
25/5/2017 14:07 | I think christh is the best short indicator. | robrah
25/5/2017 13:04 | But I just think that Christh is always optimistic and feels bullish on this stock . The problem with that is that , even though it might be fine in very long term, you have to take note of what chart is saying in short and medium term or even intra-day in my case for day trades or occasionally overnight where more risk of course as one never knows how DOW will peform after 4.30pm when UK market closes . But each to his own I suppose | arja
25/5/2017 09:51 | Isn't it funny . Rio always contradicts what christh says lol Just look this moning he was trying to churn up buyer by saying 1.6% up in auz and now look what has happened. I like it . christh is my short indicator. | robrah |
