Well Patrick, I need another 3.5% to hit my sell order - it would be ironic if it takes out your stop and then misses my target and then tanks - and we both lose out!

Don't think you understand rightmove. Nothing to do with prices or buy to let. All to do with the fact that it has hardly any cost base and a massive brand and a tied up market with only one competitor. They feed off volume not price.

I think CR was in this when it was £2 quid or there abouts. Now x40 bagged. What an investment... Could double again why not. Though less likely. Still would never short this share..

this is about a cycle, greatly influenced by capitol flight to UK
which has created a massive bubble, when house price deflation sets in
next summer, the market will slow considerably
as punters (despite shortages) will wait as prices start to
to fall over next 3/4 yrs
check out one bed flats on RMV in central London and ask yourself
how long are these prices sustainable for, then the market will grind to a halt,
blt has driven the market, prices will fall when overheads exceed rental income
management fees are taking to big a chunk of rent, new tax laws will
tip the scales, whole market will slow, the blogs show the losses sellers
are taking in france,

mapocho - how true and amazing that still only a tiny percentage of sales go through online agents who have been around for some years . Just shows what DHs most people are but I suppose they have been indoctrinated from an early age by agents talk of how risky it is not to employ a high street agent in same way as solicitors say when encouraging people to use them for conveyancing . I avoid any kind of agent if I can and even tried for a short time to sell house without agent on a site which offers a free service but no enquiries as buyers also indoctrinted and suspicious ! Then I used the online agent , Turtle Homes and got a good service .
RMV really taken off and NOR situation again . good luck

Good points. An estate agent always wants turnover. They don't give a monkeys about the value of your property. They just want it to sell asap so they can get their commission. These days you can just get a cheap on-line agent to put your property on rightmove and pay £400. No-one looks in property agent boards anymore. They just search on-line....

why would anybody with a modicum of intelligence use a high street agent to sell their property and not one of the online agents ! I used an online agent saving about £2500 on my £250,000 house and got the full asking price - a high street agent had recommended asking £235,000 to try and get £230,000 ! So much for getting house valued by a professional ! ALL agents advertise on sites like Rightmove, zoopla etc andit is only private individuals who can not do so - that is a disgrace too. While on this subject , I aleways did own conveyancing after reading " the conveyancing fraud " many years ago ! It has always been a piece of cake for registered properties if one can read and write and has some intelligence . RMV chart still looks OK after the dip yesterday

Got a guaranteed stop @ 4260p....about 11% above my short entry. This share has climbed around 10% in the last 3 weeks for what I see as no reason what so ever....just have a gut feeling that builders/estate agents/ etc etc are running out of steam. I have been watching RMV for the last 2 months and hopefully have timed my short right...

Target 3400 by the New Year..
