we should be getting some documentation before 15/5 i think blackrock hold 6%of aqp . thats what i would be looking for takeout of aqp otherwise upside must be limited .portfolio certainly looking a lot better of late not too bothered now its recovered , 25k i lost on rbs nearly recovered.. things go around in circles keep well

Hi laser, looks like AQP/RDG price disparity is narrowing. Great news. Re Black Rock, I think they're just trading AQP. They're in and out like a yo-yo and are not a big holder.
Now that the deal is almost done, I suspect the only upside from here will be determined by PGM prices - but alas they're under serious pressure and AQP is looking pretty expensive as a result. I'm only sticking with it for possible consolidation whispers and the increased liquidity and can see AQP breaching £3 in the short term. But after that, I don't believe it's worth more than £1.50

asking 86p now which is about £2-36p equiv aqp, aqp now £2-65 so the gap getting closer but not yet parity

Dropped out on the way down in 08, however funny enough fully loaded into AQP prior to merger. Full circle! It was only a matter of time before RDG was gobbled up. Keep up the good work.

hi bluemoon , i am fine seems the monies are staying on the table in the market at present, most shares seem to have had a a good rise of late,whether that will be maintained don't know, once we get to the start of summer it may go quiet.Still money to be made for the short term traders, had a few speculative short term punts of late so quite pleased with things in general. See we had a 250k trade rdg today pretty certain it was a buy, probably another 6p differential on todays price in comparison with aqp price, Hope you are still holding as you had a few as i remember

laser, I posted that on iii. October is a back-stop date for completion of the deal. It is massively cautious in case of unexpected complications (SA commission for one). According to Ridge, it should be sorted out by June/July at the latest

rottcodd someone on this board must know more about this but from what i read can agree yes fully underwritten , with regards to Q2 ? when i rang the co a few weeks ago bridging loan was mentioned but from who don't know got the impression they will have to sort it out themselves & then aqp repay when deal goes through, i may be wrong.Its a pity most of the posters who know about these sort of matters have left

12 months old but never arrived on the rdg website just for past information re net asset values lots changed but good info on the basics of this co

According to the Appendix I containing the pre-conditions of the offer, there are 2 points:

1)AQP to raise $185m through equity and bond offerings

2)RDG gains adequate bridge financing for Blue Ridge

I assume that pre-condition 1 is essentially satisfied given that the bond offering is predominantly underwritten.

Does the 20% discount to offer price relate to the open negotiation of the bridge financing?
