well each to their own but i am not selling my tmc very little in freefloat on tmc. Was looking at fairfax they seem to have upgraded their forcasts for the nickel forcasts 5.80 lb for 2010 6.35 for 2011 .
Whats the chances of some developments on Shebas later in the year thought it could be profitable at these sort of prices despite all the capital costs. Still not received any info on the merger but think end of may is a key time maybe a vote then perhaps we will see then how zijin are going to play this one

sorry , I just meant that the %discount to AQP seems to be getting greater until the merger is confirmed . But yes RDG holders do benefit a bit and platinum chart shows a lovely uptrend .

Interesting that folks are willing to pay 2.56 for AQP when it's ex-rights. You'd expect them to be selling in droves. Someone is mopping up, or more likely, judging by the fluctuations, traders are playing Russian Roulette

silverfern,
Yes, I also bought a few at 68 with spreadbet ( no price advantage ! ) but still a risk that merger will not go ahead it seems !

Well the nominal price vs AQP shares for RDG is now 90p, so I added - again- at 67.5p (spread covered already). With plt hardening and RDG actually producing the stuff the pirce looks very cheap.

Yes, someone would be wise to bid now to ensure the rights issue is fully subscribed, then they get to buy the world's fifth biggest PGM producer with vitually no debt and Ridge as a tasty appetizer. Remember XTA was willing to pay 10bn for Lonmin

I remember the good old days with tmc rocketing to nigh on 500p. I have to declare myself as a sceptic due to the pressing need for them to develop Berong and Ipilan because of the low demand for laterite ore. Having said that, they would attract the investment as they hold a sizeable deposit. Definitely a long term prospect as long as they can maintain positive cash flow through to investment/development.
Platmin seems to have reached it's recent high and I would be surprised if it did not kick on from there. Have a look at the numbers, see what you think.

yes the football tonight on sky liverpool may hold a slight advantage with beating chelsea twice should be good , i will enter some of those co's on my various watchlists always good to look back at em even a few years later sometimes they take time to come to fruitition like this rdg, i actually hold some tmc which is taking a ride bought that back in 05 we may be able to pull some cash from that after all so that is attracting my attention today. see platmin up this morning
blackrock bullish in general they do hold rdg

Some interesting companies there. I have dabbled in CDN, CBM and WTN in the past and there are one or two other coal prospects. PMHL is another China focussed company similar to CHNS, I thought they were worth a look. I do see what you mean about UEN. I was keen on CIU at 18p with their prospects and order book but, the pundits and analysts were negative until the results came out. I shall ignore them in future. I cannot believe how many times they get it so wrong, you really do have to use your own judgement and trust it. The worse IMO is the IC.
It is really sad to see what happened to individuals in the great crash and it is infuriating at the same time when you learn of those who knew what was coming, even perpetrated it to an extent, got out and warned those closest to them to do the same.
I have dabbled in one or two oil/gas plays recently like SQZ, IAE and DGO (I have held some DGO for as long as I can remember). Also in copper with ANTO and XTA.
On the football front, how instincive is Wayne Rooney! There are prospects for a cracking game tonight too with Chelsea v Liverpool, I'm looking forward to it.

That's why I think PPN offers value. They are probably one of the lowest cost producers, increasing to 250koz pa output later this year, which is about 50% of current AQP production equivalent (but at much lower costs). They have a healthy cash balance thanks mainly to Pallinghurst, raising approximately £125m in all in two tranches. With other projects in the pipeline, they look undervalued IMO.

rottcodd i suppose there is in the short term, but i would think its not much of an issue providing the aqp deal goes ahead in the end aqp will be covering any overrun of funds

About time. Should we be thanking the "technical team" for costing us an extra $40m? Jolly good show boys!! Anyway, has anyone found out why the AQP deal will take us till the fourth quarter? My emails to both parties have drawn a blank

Is there still a short-term debt negotiation in progress for the Blue Ridge mine? Is this a side-show or a critical outstanding point?
