Wow seriously! surely they must get double time for weekends spent posting drivel.

The good news is we are now less than 2 weeks from the end of the first half.

Let's hope the strong buying pressure from Friday continues today.

Tosca have been very patient and are playing the long game but will be wanting to see a good profit for their efforts.

gl,

"The big risk here is not just another H1 loss (for the fifth year in a row) but that Singer and Bonney will go for a kitchen sink job next May "

I agree.. I'm expecting another H1 loss and I also think there will be another kitchen sink job...

1R are still a 'show me the money' company.. high risk, especially given the $100m credit facility... where the bank has 1st charge...

Obviously, the traders, pretending to be holders would like people to buy in ahead of the results, so they can reduce their holding...

Q1 revenues were disappointing at $87m, so they have a bit of ground to make up to get as far as $200m for H1. But if they do succeed that might deliver a gross profit of say $88m.

On the other hand it is hard to see costs coming in much below $100m, in my opinion.

The big risk here is not just another H1 loss (for the fifth year in a row) but that Singer and Bonney will go for a kitchen sink job next May and take a big write down to get rid of some of the $200m in goodwill and intangible assets on the balance sheet.

It must be very tempting to reduce amortisation costs going forward, taking say $7m-$10m out of annual costs just like that.

After all they are not going to be able to say again in the footnotes, oh by the way, these projections assume 20% cost reductions going forward to support the goodwill valuation. Not unless they actually deliver this time.

That would be a bit like the class clown saying “Sorry Sir, but the dog ate my homework again”, for five days in a row!

Barky,

why is it that since your post about Nano, the share price fell...
and also the same happened after you posted about the "Banker Long" in GBO, the share price crashed and they eventually went bust...
That's a worrying trend about your investments, 3 companies with fraud allegations and others where the share price has fallen as soon as you mention them, isn't it???
Really unlucky...

Nano, 48p when you posted, now 37.5p, down 20% in ONE week and still sliding...
Nice purple patch for you then... ;-)

Off piste - I am expecting some good news at NANO middle of next week..some apparent large dumping last week..(price held up well) we believe the movement of stock to be a little contrived..just a guess.

No advice intended - please do your own research..but the usual aim scampi being attempted is our guess. lol

My interest - I hold stock investment in NANO and my first draw will be @95p

mome,

If it doesn't worry brands then why was the Campaign for Better Ads setup???...

Oh, to deal with the growing threat from ad blocking... funny that... ;-)

"But as the web has grown, the online ad experience has sometimes fallen short of consumers’ expectations, as indicated in part by the emergence of ad blocking. For example, ads that disrupt the browsing experience or delay access to content can frustrate consumers.

In order to improve the consumer experience, leading international trade associations and companies in the online media ecosystem have joined forces to create the Coalition for Better Ads. "

As to 1R, they are just 1 company competing against dozens of others in a highly competitive ad tech ecosystem for a tiny slice of that ad tech pie...

sikh, I fancy This one will also be off to The Great Gig In The Sky, to join barky's Famous 3 (GBO SER MDX) most dubious stocks to have plundered the families of their beloved shareholders and protectors of the faith..

..go ye out there, to thy bulletin boards, and protect thy name of thine Board members, that plunder ye goods!

gotta laugh out loud, how the die hards of a failing stock, protect every share destructive decision bestowed upon them, by their fantasy friends, the Board of Directors!

This will be Number 4 to join barkys top 3!

This company is geared and modelled to fail, to suspend, to delist -and to be bought back, through the official recievers for a few million quid! To be left alone, to multiply and generate millions as a private company.. and nothing back to thy beloved shareholders.. -and All Legal and Above board, of course!

Ad blocking doesn't appear to worry brands/companies spending on advertising. Digital advertising is expected to account for 44% of total media ad spend in 2018 which is estimated to be $628.4 billion globally. And digital media is expected to grow to $427.3 billion by 2022 (e Marketer). And guess what?... R1 are well positioned to substantially increase their share of this! IMO things are looking good.

"the public, which doesn’t want to be interrupted by advertising, particularly on the dominant device of our age, which is the cellphone."

Yes, ad blocking very much still an issue... web & mobile..
