For the record the closing price today was 252.4p. This is the lowest close since Sept. 1st 2010. On Sept. 2nd it closed at 258.8p then uphill to 738.5 on 27th Feb. 2015.

So it is a new 7 year low. JakNife did not specify a period in his post today but if he had said 7 years he would be correct.

adobbing,

Can you see that picture at the top of the page with the wiggly line? Can you see the lowest point on the wiggly line? 248p from Monday this week. Can you see the wiggly line lower than 248p on any other day? No.

Did you get out of bed the wrong side this morning?

hey ho!

JakNife

I can see several charts, none of which are 20 year charts.
What I do know is that most of my stock was bought between £1.56 and £1.95 and that was certainly not 20 years ago!

Back on filter, just another moron with no idea of what they’re talking about and nothing useful to contribute!

And another also opening summer 2018;

We're thrilled to have the White Horse as one of the latest additions to the Brunning and Price family. Situated at London End, Beaconsfield, the White Horse has been run as a Loch Fyne restaurant for many years. We thought it was a lovely building and would make a super B&P pub, so would like to restore it to it's former name, 'the White Horse' when it reopens in the Summer

New B&P venue opening summer 2018 in Alcester near Stratford on Avon

Arrow Mill is set in the heart of rural Warwickshire, close to Stratford upon Avon by the roman market town of Alcester. It is surrounded by a spectacular, secluded riverside setting which is one of the reasons that we fell in love with it instantly and think it will make a stunning pub within the B&P family.

We plan to sensitively restore the building, hopefully uncovering some forgotten features along the way, reopening if all goes well in the Summer.

UK restaurants raked in over £40bn last year as turnover for restaurants outside London grew at a faster rate than the capital, a new study shows.

Restaurant Group (LON:RTN)‘s stock had its “buy” rating reaffirmed by equities researchers at Liberum Capital in a research report issued on Thursday. They currently have a GBX 430 ($5.83) price target on the stock. Liberum Capital’s price objective would indicate a potential upside of 62.63% from the company’s current price.

“It touched 248p at the start of the week, a price that hasn't been seen for over 20 years and you think that it "isn’t reflected in the SP!"?”

Are you talking about RTN, the price has been above and below that price numerous times in the last 12 months?

It appears you have no idea of what you are talking about, another moron for the filter button!

Byron and prezzo closing sites takes competition out of the market. It also takes supply out of the marketplace to be filled by the remaining suppliers and so is a positive for both the sector and RTN.

RTN is in a transition away from competitive high street and leisure park, low margin/ high rent / strong competition sites, into high margin profitable pub restaurants and airport concessions.
This has been under way for some time and is evident by the pipeline of new B&P outlets opened and opening.

Regardless of any of this, your theory isn’t reflected in the SP!
If you’re going to put a convincing argument for shorting RTN you need to try harder!

The business is now being revitalised by Andy McCue - ex Paddy Power. Actions taken this year include closing 40 of the worst performing sites to save £10m; £10m of overhead savings (by 2019); price resets eg. the fixed price £10.95 lunch menu was restored; and menu changes, eg. old favourites (chicken pasta) returned.

not impressed with update,it's still all about backsides on seats and turnover is still down. I am a holder, but the size of the short positions are a cause for worry. Will wait until February before buying again

Pbit inline and also some expecting a divi cut which hasn't happened - Market could easily see this as positive and bounce back to 300p today.

Update says more of the same, not terrible, not great Sales still falling.

No numbers are given which makes me suspicious given the recent press speculation and share price falls. Poatponing the bad news is my guess.
