08/1/2021 12:06 | Once Suez gets delisted, a lot of ESG money will need to find a new home. Both Biffa in the UK and Renewi in the Netherlands could be beneficiaries from these inflows | george stobbart
08/1/2021 12:01 | Veolia takeover bid for Suez this morning.. Highlights the activity in the sector. Not a game changer for RWI because i) Veolia is tiny in the Benelux and ii) Suez is already finalising the sale of their Benelux assets. But I guess the fewer the listed players the better for RWI to attract more ESG inflows, post Suez delisting. | george stobbart
08/1/2021 11:46 | Sorry wrong site | bartyb
08/1/2021 11:25 | Spread is ridiculous and deters investors | bartyb
08/1/2021 10:11 | Bit of strength this morning above 44p - nice to see! | catch007
07/1/2021 10:28 | And liquidity has improved a lot in the EUR shares. Definitely the Dutch listing has attracted investors and has had a positive effect on the stock so far. GBP shares have been pretty much dead with no interest the last few years. | george stobbart
07/1/2021 08:23 | Several comments on IEX about the disparity in price between Amsterdam and London. | gregsc
06/1/2021 22:47 | Thanks for clarifying that George, I obviously didn't look too hard at the results, though there gets to a point where write-downs start becoming an ordinary item not an extraordinary one! | wad collector
06/1/2021 14:19 | I noted a small trade at 43.95p paid earlier - some good strength in the share price today lets hope it holds and can push on. | catch007
06/1/2021 13:40 | RWI separates the result between statutory (with non-cash items) and underlying profit (with cash only items) and the statutory profit has been impacted by the various writedowns in recent years. In PE takeovers, the key metrics for exits/entries are organic metrics such as EV/EBITDA and leverage (ie ND/EBITDA) as the companies are re-org & re-engineered for an exit multiple in 5 years or so. Statutory profits (with non cash items) are not that common as PE firms focus more on organic growth & operational improvements. Renewi never had a negative EBITDA for the last 20 years. | george stobbart
06/1/2021 13:08 | George I was looking at your posting about the potential takeover price if RWI is compared to Suez. The unconsidered factor is what other disasters lurk between here and the 2021 results that could obliterate any profit again. If you look at the last 5 yrs figures they made a pretax loss 2015-19 , so it will take a long time for the market to forget those yrs. I know that you know those results but it does make a direct comparison rather optimistic. If you applied last yrs EBITA as the only denominator, the value is less than zero. Good to see a new 2 yr high being approached. | wad collector
06/1/2021 12:27 | Now up 7.44% in Amsterdam, sorry 9.3% | gregsc
05/1/2021 17:04 | Down in London but up over 2.3% in Amsterdam. The two quotes seem to be diverging. | gregsc
05/1/2021 16:44 | Yes let's hope it slowly gets to 80p. But Im inclined to start taking some profits if it pops into the 60s! | george stobbart
05/1/2021 16:24 | Immediate chart target is 45p. After that it's quite clear air to the chart target 2018 high at 80p, although it would be a slow climb.(6 months to a year) After that there's an 8 year ceiling at £1, so that would prove serious resistance. | outsizeclothes.com
05/1/2021 11:31 | I notice that Renewi is now a Dutch company. The British-Dutch waste processor Renewi has become a Dutch company on paper. Now that the British are not part of the internal European market, Renewi has chosen to make the Netherlands its home country. Renewi will remain listed on the London stock exchange, while it is also listed in Amsterdam. British shareholders of Renewi must now notify the Netherlands Authority for the Financial Markets (AFM) whether they hold more than 3 percent of Renewi's securities. | gregsc
04/1/2021 12:42 | Next target 50p. Bring it on. | its the oxman
04/1/2021 08:55 | nice start of the year | george stobbart
31/12/2020 10:55 | Holding above 40p - 2021 should see further recovery in share price with a fair wind and no more mishaps. GLA and HNY | catch007
