27/9/2016 12:44 | Hope this can break the 200dma on the RNS on 1 October. Banged its head 5?times so any breakout will be powerful | essential
22/9/2016 12:04 | And much longer term , RNWH should get some good contracts helping clean up the mess....but we may not still be alive then , and RNWH will be part of some sovereign wealth fund by then. Perhaps. | wad collector
21/9/2016 09:51 | From today's Times: "Hinkley Point offers £11bn contract bonanza British companies are lining up bids for contracts worth up to £11.5 billion after the government’s decision to press ahead with construction of EDF’s new nuclear power plant at Hinkley Point in Somerset. Up to 64 per cent of the project’s £18 billion value will be open to UK companies, according to David Eccles, EDF’s head of stakeholder engagement for the Hinkley Point C project. Speaking at a nuclear suppliers’ conference in Bristol yesterday, Mr Eccles said many of the work packages were being brought forward for tender after the decision to proceed. Some key reactor components, such as steam generators, will be made by Areva, the French state-controlled reactor developer, he said. Other big contractors have been selected, such as GE, which will build turbines. However, hundreds of British companies are expected to play a role in the rest of the supply chain for the project, which was given final approval by Theresa May last week. etc" | rivaldo
16/9/2016 07:37 | RNWH's Shepley Engineers and its subsidiary PPS Electrical have just been named two of the three star performers in the health and safety awards from RoSPA – the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents. Many of the awards were for safety work at Sellafield, so this should bode well for Shepley in obtaining contracts at Hinkley Point: | rivaldo
15/9/2016 12:18 | Indeed - RNWH actually highlighted it in their most recent presentation: "Opportunities in New Nuclear at Hinkley, Wylfa and Moorside" | rivaldo
15/9/2016 10:16 | And that is going to be a very big contract for a long time (assuming it really is happening !) | wad collector
15/9/2016 08:19 | This morning's news regarding the likely go-ahead of Hinkley Point has got the share prices of other nuclear sector suppliers going. RNWH's Shepley may also benefit as major suppliers and installers to the sector: | rivaldo
08/9/2016 16:49 | I have only ever sold a few for tax reasons - got £4 average. I agree that if they deliver the 31p in 201 and we then get any deals which add to that £4 is not enough - just don't think I will be holiding these in 2022! | harrogate
08/9/2016 16:00 | Harrogate ,I am sitting on a mean buying price of about 250 from the last few yrs but won't part with any of these for at least £4 , and even then would only be a trading holding. Solid pension funders . | wad collector
08/9/2016 13:50 | A new Government review out today also commits a further £12.5m to temporary flood defences this winter: with a further £2.5 billion to spend up to 2021. Which apparently is still not nearly enough according to most observers. | rivaldo
08/9/2016 11:04 | :o)) I hope to still be holding RNWH for some years to come to benefit from the Parliament refurb and everything else in RNWH's armoury. Unless they get taken over first... | rivaldo
08/9/2016 09:20 | I hope I am not still holding RNWH by the time that work starts!! I want to be spending my hard earned by then | harrogate
08/9/2016 09:15 | Front page news today that the £4billion+ refurbishment of Parliament will get the go-ahead today. It's some time away, but RNWH's Shepley should be big beneficiaries given their track record at Westminster, and I'd imagine there'll be lots of preparatory work (plus additional work on wherever Parliament ends up temporarily). | rivaldo
07/9/2016 12:50 | RNWH's Amco Rail are contractors in the big Severn Tunnel electrification project now taking place - the Tunnel will actually be closed September-October to enable the works to be carried out: "Longest UK railway tunnel to be closed for six weeks bringing train alterations between Bristol and South Wales Published: 28th August 2016 etc" | rivaldo
01/9/2016 10:22 | Certainly looking better now, with the full year trading update coming in four weeks or so. It's worth remembering the outlook in the H1 results: "The growth in our order book and good cash generation gives the Board confidence that the Group will deliver strong results for the full financial year" | rivaldo
31/8/2016 20:54 | Needs to break 365p then could be off to the races | essential
31/8/2016 17:22 | Higher daily highs following good buying momentum, a positive sign and looking like a breakout ? | santangello
22/8/2016 12:32 | New win for VHE: "VHE wins Barrow business park preparatory works 11 Aug 2016, 11:07 Cumbria County Council has appointed Yorkshire-based environmental contractor VHE Construction to a £1.3m package of works to remediate dockland as it kickstarts a stalled business park development. Barrow Waterfront Business Park was one of the projects cancelled in the comprehensive spending review by the incoming government in 2010. Funding has now been secured from government and Cumbria LEP to resume with a scaled-back business park next to BAE Systems’ submarine yard. The council maintains plans to build a marina at the business park in the future. Remediation and site levelling are due to begin immediately and complete in spring 2017." | rivaldo
12/8/2016 11:19 | Haha.. after wad collector's comment, the share price rises! | hubrad
10/8/2016 10:01 | The thought of a cast iron roof dropping onto the House of Commons in full session is an interesting one. | wad collector
09/8/2016 11:03 | Personally I'll believe it when it happens - anything involving the well being of MPs is fraught with problems. Sorry - they bring the cynic out in me. | glaws2
09/8/2016 09:53 | Many thanks Glaws2. The link I posted actually shows that Shepley carried out the Speakers Court refurb works together with Allenbuild: So I was on the right track, just on the wrong train (Allenbuild rather than Shepley)! This is a huge £4billion+ project, and Shepley will be favourites to win a decent chunk of work from it: | rivaldo
09/8/2016 09:31 | Hi Yes you are right - it is Shepley that have done some work there not Walter Lilly so we are still in with a shout !! | harrogate |
