Well obviously it didn't pan out as originally intended. "For whatever reason" is the unanswered point that raised eyebrows when a respected non exec on other main listed company boards makes a sudden exit with no explanation offered.

It would be interesting to know whether she attended any board/committee meetings during her short term of office.

Three months is typical for a probation period on an employment contract. For whatever reason, things didn't pan out.

I don't think it can be the north/south thing. Both Genuit (formerly Polypipe) and Severfield where she also holds directorships have head offices in Yorkshire (although nationwide in activities).

Possibly conflicts of interests? The problem when no explanation is given is that the imagination runs loose!

Cannot believe then that the better offer (post 9762) was about money - £14k is hardly relevant. There must have been other reasons.

RNWH pays non-execs £50k p.a. from 1/10/21 BBY £64k from 1/1/21

The share price seems to be telling us that RNWH were well rid!

Perhaps a North-South thing? Louise Hardy is a Southerner, BBY are HQ'd in London whereas RNWH are very much Northern-based. So she possibly realised the time commitment wasn't practical family-wise or whatever. But doesn't reflect very well on her. A shame as she looked to have a good track record.

Slightly odd non executive resignation. She was only appointed in December 21. The reason given looks strange as you can hold a few non exec posts. Wonder if it is a competitor? Not a major issue but strange non the less.

While this is not as high as Pan African Resources, it is certainly competitive and consistent. However, the firm posted net debt of £13.7m for the 12 months to 30 September 2021, down from a net cash position of £300,000 in the previous year.

Its forward P/E ratio, of 12.41 at a current price of 680p, is significantly lower than Balfour Beatty‘s. The latter is a competitor and has a forward P/E ratio of 26.07. Renew Holdings recently bought J Browne for £29.5m and this provides greater exposure to the water business. New clients include Thames Water and Southern Water. It appears Renew is putting its earnings to good work.

I’ve always found Warren Buffett’s techniques useful. I will buy both Pan African Resources and Renew Holdings without delay, acquiring two cheap growth stocks in the process."

FWIW, I took a few earlier this morning. Looks decent value hereabouts. I hope. I hadn't expected to get any well under 6 quid again but them's the markets. I'll probably be saying the same when I buy some more under 5 quid :-(

Unless there is some hidden bad news it seems an illogical drop , but that's the market! A buying opportunity if you have spare cash.

Down almost 7% - or say £35m in m/cap terms - on just £100k of shares traded! No buyers around in this market so the MMs just keep dropping the price and stuffing the sellers.

Crazy markdowns for a company with perfectly secure revenues and margins and growth prospects we all know about. And no exposure to Russia/Ukraine.

Obviously this is across the entire market, but some drops are more absurd than others.

Meanwhile this year Renew report first quarter trading in line with expectations and engineering services order book up by £100m compared to December 2020. (Sharecast).

Amey quit its 25-year maintenance and management contract with Birmingham Highways Ltd (BHL) on 31st March 2020.

RNWH's Carnell subsidiary are one of the parties interested in this rather sizeable £2.7 billion contract which is now being tendered:

Top up for me, could only get 686 but the defensive high quality nature of Renew makes that a bargain IMO. My biggest holding.
