05/2/2019 09:02 | You might be right but I think the uncertainty is what is holding us back. | harrogate
04/2/2019 19:01 | I can't see the deals being ripped up whilst in place if I'm honest. They can't even agree on brexit over the last 3 years so what chance has anyone got of immediately ripping up deals!!! Can't seeing it happening if I'm honest | thecroots
04/2/2019 12:35 | But the renationalisation programme would potentially rip up the deals in place and look to retender them and maybe look to build in house teams at a publicly owned network rail to do the work. They would see the current arrangement as privatisation. The uncertainty on all this would kill renew. You may end up being right but I doubt it before we halve our share price. And where is the money from for more investment? | harrogate
04/2/2019 12:22 | A Labour government would be good for investment in the railway network, so Renew would benefit. | gustavfenk
04/2/2019 11:34 | I agree - it is the removal of the threat of a general election and a labour gov. I also feel that they could do some more to get the story out. But ex a 6p+ divyy they are around £3.70 today so at least recovering some of the carnage from late 2018. | harrogate
04/2/2019 11:26 | I wonder what news it would take to make the share price go back up to 450p. I suppose the answer to that is in the House of Commons. This is not about the order book. | wad collector
01/2/2019 10:27 | Nice - another £100m of contracts in the bag for RNWH's QTS subsidiary: "Network Rail has announced that BAM Nuttall and QTS Group have won framework contracts to deliver a range of rail projects across Scotland and North East England over the next five years BAM Nuttall has been awarded a renewals and enhancements framework covering Scotland and North East England valued at £320m. The rail projects framework will see BAM Nuttall, currently the main contractor delivering the Aberdeen-Inverness Improvement Project, complete a wide range of schemes including replacing and refurbishing structures and delivering improvements at stations across the Scotland route. QTS has been awarded a geotech framework contract valued at £100m. The contracts have been awarded as Network Rail Scotland prepares to invest over £4bn in the country’s infrastructure during the next railway control period (CP6) between 2019 and 2024..... ....Alan McLeish, QTS managing director, added: “We are exceptionally proud of the collaborative work QTS has carried out during the last control period, with some outstanding geotechnical projects delivered across Scotland. It is a testament to the hard work of our team during the CP5 contract, and the strong relationship that we have built with Network Rail, that has allowed us to be successful in this CP6 tender process. “Our expertise and commitment to finding further efficiencies for Network Rail by using innovative plant and methods, stands us in excellent stead to continue providing a high standard of work over the next five years.” | rivaldo
30/1/2019 16:57 | Reminder - xd tomorrow (6.67p) | sharw
30/1/2019 14:37 | Don't know what's going on my the ADVFN chart, the share price is £3.78. | igoe104
30/1/2019 10:24 | Rnwh for the last while only comes to life late morning or esrly PM | thecroots
30/1/2019 08:40 | Bit surprised about the lack of reaction here - I topped up at £3.78 so price is a little higher than you think. I am sure these are worth £4+ now after that progress report. Not going to get to AGM today which is a shame as it is in the new HO outside Leeds - Anyone going? | harrogate
30/1/2019 07:43 | Great news. Another of the issues ticked off. Just need to get an election off the tableland we are good to go here. Looks too cheap now | harrogate
30/1/2019 07:34 | Winning all the bids for National rail, that's extremely good news going forward. got to upgrades going forward. This has got to be a strong buy. | igoe104
30/1/2019 07:13 | Wow, nearly an order book of 600k | thecroots
30/1/2019 07:07 | Lovely stuff.... - trading nicely in line - order books well up, and almost 20% up for Engineering - all CP6 contracts tendered for have been won - capital markets day coming up, which indicates they believe there's a good story to be told Time for a re-rating. | rivaldo
25/1/2019 09:40 | The AGM and trading statement is next Wednesday. Given that the outlook from late November talked about "good momentum going into 2019", and "Our solid foundations allow the Board to look forward to 2019 with confidence", logically it should read well. The consensus for this year to 30/9/19 is 39.4p EPS, with a 10.95p dividend, so a 367p share price looks pretty decent. FYI there's also a 6.67p dividend arriving to those on the share register at 1st February. | rivaldo
22/1/2019 08:31 | I hate to mention the Brexot word but just wondered how much impact this may be having on the share price. It was'nt that long ago I was seeing a share price gathering pace to £6.Best wishes to all. | hopeful holder
17/1/2019 16:07 | More good work for Amco Giffen | igoe104
09/1/2019 19:00 | Blimey, another great day. | thecroots
08/1/2019 21:12 | When it comes to RNS there are rules about "materiality" so that companies like RNWH who are in the business of getting contracts should only issue one if makes a big difference to expected profits. On the other hand there is RNS-R which is designed for lesser items of information. Some make heavy use of this others little or none. Here is one as an example from BMY: | sharw
08/1/2019 20:14 | In the long run , whether or not the contracts generate an RNS makes little difference to the share price , but it would boost the share price in the short term. Happy to have one solid company in the shipwreck of my portfolio. Name a lemon , I have bought it. Carillion, Interserve,RBS, Lloyds , the list is long. | wad collector
08/1/2019 19:53 | Hi Harrogate. Yes, was watching the trades all day today. Very high buying activity today. I too do not understand why they don't RNS some of the bigger stuff. Rivaldo, thanks for posting that. Looks awesome!! | thecroots
08/1/2019 12:48 | A bit more volume today at last including a chunky buy of over 100,000 at £3.50. Maybe we have reached the bottom here as it really is a bit cheap. | harrogate
08/1/2019 12:38 | Riv - thanks for that. I do wonder why they don't RNS some of these wins through the year - especially the asset tender wins which I think are new lines of business for them. But I agree that the main Renew business looks to be set fair in CP6. | harrogate
08/1/2019 12:14 | This review of 2018 and beyond for AMCOGiffen all sounds very cheery: "The Past & Present The last 12 months have been monumental for the evolution of AmcoGiffen. We’ve entered new markets, secured some brilliant Network Rail Asset tender wins, and been awarded the SNE Lot 3 Renewals and Enhancement framework. We’ve rebranded, gained traction in the industry, and continued to develop the pioneering merger of AMCO and The Giffen Group.... ....The Future Going in to 2019 and CP6 with a solid work-bank and a well-earned reputation, AmcoGiffen’s future is looking bright. Launching our new SHEQ 24/7 strategy, embracing the innovation of modern technologies, and strengthening our existing teams, we’re excited to see what next year brings!" Plus lots of work at Kings Cross over Xmas with 1000 hours on site: | rivaldo |
