jbj - its a SETSqx stock - they have uncrossing auctions at 1100 and 1500. The only way they wouldn't go into auction is if they have no trading at all, which obviously doesn't apply here.

Holly - I don't see that RENE know Woodford's intentions, and in any case it's not their function to act as his mouthpiece. My guess, for what little it's worth, is that he'll sell down to below 30% and then try and dispose of the whole remaining parcel.

RENE should come out and inform the shareholders about Woodford intentions rather than let the share price free fall

I've got ESL in my monitor list who also have Woodford as a shareholder.

Every single time ESL goes in to (AU)ction, RENE does too (or vice versa). Literally every time, without fail. It's been happening every day since the Woodford thing hit the news.

Does anyone have any idea what that's all about?

And shouldn't be bad results as CEO said you will find out very quickly, if he is to be believed

It can't be a partner as BOD have duty to disclose to the market in general, not selective parties

So, does anyone have any theories as to why they haven't reported cohort 2 yet? I can only think either a partner is asking them not to during intense negotiations or the data is not as clear.

still dont also understand why he paid around 5p for what was at the time a rene price of about 3p (rough), when he could have surely got a better deal out of rene?

dogwalker,

i think he is selling, very slowly, i cant believe there would be this sustained albeit gentle pressure so near results and potential deals given the previous results were remarkable.

Yes, we need the amazing progress results before any further, probable/possible, Woodford sales.

True but even tho I paid more for my modest amount £2.57. I agree with various posters that true value will be forthcoming IF the trials continue to show the end results.

Yes : great for the person wanting to do that now , but not so great for the pre-existing owners. Unless you're happy enough to give away the company & its prospects at a knock-down value , just to get your money back or something.
I imagine the 35 or 34%, of Woodford's, is being touted about as a block everywhere now. Great ! But whatever the price possibly achieved, it won't be anywhere near what it could have been if it didn't need to be sold in a hurry in the first place .
Still, I'm usually wrong : here's hoping.

But on the other hand reneurons shares are very tightly held If you wanted to build a posistion this would be the ideal time to do so with a fire sale seller and nervious holders around.

agree jenson,

no matter what people think on here (and as you know i'm a long term rene holder), when you are a forced seller most if not all has to go, unless taken over by another manager in which case will be reviewed.

either way unpredictable as woodford will not likely survive.

and for me, i'm holding the ceo of rene to his word that bad news would be out by now, if not and results are not good, i'll reduce significantly

If Woodford's fund is ever allowed to reopen again , every unquoted and illiquid stock will have to be sold first in order to handle the immediate redemptions by the vast majority of holders . Whatever he thinks of Reneuron's prospects he will have no choice but to dump the whole 35%

None of us can really know what Woodford it going to do with his RENE shares but one thing's for sure, he's well and truly shattered the momentum we had and his connection to ReNeuron is horribly toxic.

I can't believe our bad luck getting caught up in this.

Today's Daily Mail reports that Neil Woodford has raised "another £54,000,000 from his fund fire sale" for his disgruntled investors.

However Woodford has only sold a few shares in Reneuron, taking his stake down from 35.4% to 34.6% and raising about £738,000.

To me this small reduction is very encouraging regarding positive Reneuron news going forward.

One would think that Woodford would have sold more Reneuron shares if there was bad news from the ongoing clinical trials.

It's 1% and leaves 34% of his shares. Nothing to worry about with news on the horizon. As the old adage goes...Nothing to see here move along.

As said, down pressure till he’s done! But basically it changes nothing. It’s the science that will work the share price in the end....one way or tother.

It's hardly a dramatic revelation that he's sold some. Has he started selling or is he finished selling? Who knows, but he can't sell them unless there's a buyer. The share price has already been hammered because of his potential selling pressure, hopefully it won't take another hit just because we now know for sure he's been knocking a few out.

Woodford has started selling, just 0.85% yesterday so just another 40 days selling to endure! It would seem likely that the 200p level will be tested during this process.
