Elsevier is now officially approved as one of the suppliers to be used by the NHS Framework, allowing for faster procurement of Elsevier's solutions. In the wake of an estimated investment of £300m on digital technology, Elsevier's solutions will make it easier for NHS employees to access the knowledge they need to reduce variation of care, provide safer care, and overall, improve patient outcomes. Elsevier is part of RELX Group, a FTSE 100 company (London: REL).

The NHS framework, which is to be reviewed annually, enables integrated care systems and sustainability and transformation partnerships to procure advanced healthcare solutions and innovations to achieve the transformation identified in the NHS' Five Year Forward Review. The framework appointment includes Elsevier's Arezzo, Care Planning, Order Sets, ClinicalKey, STATdx, ExpertPath, ImmunoQuery, Reference Centres, and Clinical Skills.

"We are proud to be part of the selected businesses that will drive the digital transformation within the NHS, using clinical decision support tools such as ClinicalKey to put technology at the forefront of patient care," said Tim Hawkins, Managing Director, Clinical Solutions in EMEALAAP, Elsevier. "We look forward to making a real difference in our health system and to helping deliver more efficient patient care and outcomes through the use of our technology solutions."

Elsevier's appointment is a testament to its work supporting clinicians' faster and better decision-making at the point of care, helping the NHS framework accelerate its digital transformation and drive forward its Population Health Management agenda. The Lot 5 award encompasses informatics and digital tools supporting system-wide planning and management, care coordination and risk modelling.
