16/3/2018 13:48 | The CEO here does not feel the need to constantly release information. The updates are measured and timely and I think his stewardship has been cautious and risk adverse. This may not be the liking of some investors but for me it shows the business is making the right decisions and not over stretching. It takes courage to buy when the share is falling but seasoned investors know how difficult it is to pick up lots of stock when the price is rising | ch1ck
16/3/2018 13:08 | Indeed and we might get a Quarterly Update. | alchemy
16/3/2018 12:44 | 3 months earlier, those same figures were 16, 16+12 commitment, 16.5m and 323m, so clearly in the space of 3 months the number of units have more than doubled. So given that we are now almost 3 months on again, have these figures increased again??? That is the question. | cheek212
16/3/2018 12:19 | They definitely can't keep saying... "54 units deployed, 43 units on order, 330 units on final customer selection and a €357m active pipeline" ... and not actually capturing any of those 100s of millions of pipeline opportunities. | pottermagic2310
16/3/2018 11:20 | Very disappointing share price movement. I understand all the uncertainties that have been posted here but it would appear that the real dip has been caused by John Ward selling a large stake at 7p or there about's . Whatever the reason for wanting cash it was a slap in the face for the company management. His agreement not to sell any more shares for twelve months seems to have been taken as a potential weakness and threat.!! Still holding but concerned about the speed at which progress is being made and the very fact that Scott has indicated that major sales will not take place for some time. The new BOD would appear to be an attempt (much needed) to bolster confidence but seems to have cast further doubts !! We need substantial orders and fast !! | fieldhouse
16/3/2018 11:15 | BRIDGETOWN, Barbados, Wednesday November 22, 2017 – The Barbados Water Authority (BWA) is projected to save thousands of dollars, and become climate change resilient, through two renewable energy initiatives, funded to the tune of US$3.5 million dollars, under the United Arab Emirates (UAE) Caribbean Renewable Energy Fund. One initiative will see a 500 kilowatt ground-mounted solar photovoltaic (PV) system being constructed at a pumping station in the rural parish of St John, which serves 20,000 customers in rural Barbados. Project Engineer at the BWA, Nathan Hart, expressed optimism that the BWA’s energy bill of BDS$1.8 million (US$900,000) per month will be further reduced with the installation of this system, as the Authority has already seen a dip in the energy bills of the buildings already outfitted with solar photovoltaic technology. “This project will reduce energy consumption of the station by at least 20 per cent, and it will result in a yearly saving or reduction of operational cost by at least BDS$500,000 (US$250,000), while improving the efficiency of the operation to our customers,” he said. A key feature of the upgrade will be a battery storage component, which Hart explained is aimed at keeping the station operational in the event of a hurricane or another situation which has caused a power outage. | dlg3
16/3/2018 10:35 | There's an interesting insight into Betamax VHS in Bill Gates' book "Hard Drive". He chose VHS because extended American Football matches were clipped at the end by Betamax. Like ending Bolton Blackpool at 3_3. (Nostalgia there!). A usability issue. That's why Lithium is best for cars but not for stationary apps. Swindon is an outlier! One hopes. | alchemy
16/3/2018 10:26 | Ah but what you say is out there. He has lots to do and , at the moment cash, is not a problem to him, building stuff is.He has to announce certain things. He can choose to announce others. If the pipeline conversion has done well maybe a nudge on that early next quarter.....as an example.Or the farm niche take_up? Best to know each delivery makes a contribution though.Meanwhile we could vacillate between quite varying market caps.Trying for holders , exciting for fresh money to get aboard with precision . When we do need cash the newsflow will improve if it's in line with real progress. Meanwhile one of the new guys might be courting "funds" . | alchemy
16/3/2018 10:04 | There are two different opinions here.Looking at the facts and not speculation.New Board members and manager being positioned to drive the company forward. They would not join if they did not believe in the product.Battery technology is one of the hottest areas at the moment. The UK government are investing millions in grants and research in battery tech to become work leaders.REDT was awarded £750,000 for research.New RDPE grant for English farmsDeals in Australia, US, Africa, Asia and Europe.Looking at the Financial's Net income has fallen with flat revenuesSales are up dramatically but at a costIt seems to have little debtThe financials are not great but the company is not overstretched and is growing organically at the moment.I expect it to start raising cash if large orders are announced and I would see this as a prudent thing todo. All in all I see a positive picture with the share price being pushed lower with relatively low volumes The two largest holders are Schrodersand Pension Services Ltd with 35 and 20 mill sharesI bought more today | ch1ck
16/3/2018 09:28 | I'm not affected Alchemy. But I'm not surprised. Lithium is an incumbent technology, quite some time back RED said that they needed to 'educate the market' with VFM, there is an implication to that statement that the cut and paste crew choose to ignore. I met with RED and spoke with the CEO at length to ascertain where this business is at and could see it was at very early stage adoption, with a definite stated policy of taking it 'slow', something the CEO said a few times, there is an implication to that phrase as well. I would like it to succeed and invest here but for the moment it remains on my watch list. In reality I suspect it might remain there for a couple of years??? Best wishes. | owenski
16/3/2018 09:28 | Share price is now at a three year low! As at Dec17 - 54 units deployed, 43 units on order, 330 units on final customer selection and a 357m active pipeline! What have 3 years ago? A couple of gen1 seeding units. Scott really does need to get some news out into the market place sooner rather than later! | cheek212
16/3/2018 09:20 | ...and precious few large orders, which must be received. | sleveen
16/3/2018 09:18 | As said yesterday, this is going lower. It doesn't have the financials or a sufficiently developed business to warrant a +40m M.cap imo. | owenski
16/3/2018 09:18 | So far the Owenski dip continues. He'll be pleased at the Lithium observation at Swindon | alchemy
16/3/2018 09:17 | As one can see, a lot of storage projects are still based on Lithium. REDt has an uphill battle to establish itself, if of course it can. | owenski
16/3/2018 09:13 | Really!! Under 6p now! Wasn't that long ago since it was double this price and since then the business has produced and installed lots of units. Scott really needs to forget this quiet achiever status and play the AIM game! | cheek212
