Probably the usual Friday tick up. Although something more substantial would be welcome

Easier posting on this one, just want the charts really and not have to wade through tons of coloured banners and video links to get to them.

Which bb, should we be posting on?.. This is confusing. Great news today, chart looks decidedly chipper. 8p looks to have been the low.

Very interesting, but where is this installation?

I love this. We're all familiar with the business case, but I'm sure that UK farmers, with their relative scale and entrepreneurial eye for new sources of income will be interested in this, particularly now that it can come with a hefty subsidy-

"In this use case, multiple services provide a net benefit to the site, by either contributing a discrete revenue (via capacity and utilisation payments from National Grid) or by allowing the site to save money through increased self consumption of solar energy, reducing the amount of energy imported from the grid or a combination of the two. There are also non-quantifiable benefits derived from the energy storage machine in this use case, including the ability to hedge against electricity price rises for the life of the system, improved energy security and additional future upside from favourable regulation and policy."

Every little helps, and this is potentially much more than a little... Particularly since we've go that nice little bit of reference kit working away in Cornwall.

"Grant funding has been made available to farmers in England through the government’s RDPE Countryside Productivity Scheme to increase on-farm renewable energy use by improving energy storage and distribution.
Grants are worth up to 40% of the eligible costs of a project, subject to a minimum of £35,000 and maximum of £1m, and will be paid in stages in arrears once the work being claimed for is complete – although no work should commence until a grant agreement is signedGrants cannot be used to fund renewable energy generation equipment such as solar panels, wind turbines, biomass boilers or systems covered by the Fits or RHI schemes.
Eligible energy efficiency equipment includes:
Heat distribution networks and equipment for using renewable heat generated on farm, such as pipework, heat exchangers and pumps. Does not include the heat source (for example, biomass boiler)
Battery storage systems, providing the electrical storage capacity does not exceed the lowest of:
1. Total energy produced in 24 hours
2. Amount of energy used within the business in a 24-hour period
3. Total power output of battery storage system must not exceed 1MW
Thermal screens to aid climate control in glasshouses
Wavelength-specific LED lighting to aid crop growth and pest control.
Funding is also available to improve digestate use. This includes grants for low-emission application equipment (for example, trailing shoes, deep or shallow injection) and systems for advanced digestate processing (for example, multi-stage separation)."

Well there is a pipeline and those within it will be being updated. The reference from Cornwall, the commitments in Australia , the National Grid statements. So is it ridiculous? Let's see what the conversion rate becomes.I think the recruitment was of technical salesmen not retail smart dressers with well rounded market stall phrases , and was probably the result of the pipeline and how qualified parts of it were. But time will tell.I was hoping this was like shelling peas but each situation needed tailoring we are told, whether that's a whole system design or a whizz through a suite of spreadsheets we don't yet know. Then there's that thing I bang on about , the learning curve. Contact to engagement to shipping to invoice to delighted customer...how long ? Is it speeding up?

As a product, RED have developed one that is now commercialised.

As a business, RED have still to prove that it has one, no guarantees it will succeed.

I hope it does though. As said, still early days.

I agree they really over promised last year and spent on sales people but few sales. They also put out that ridiculous pipeline number, on which they converted few if any sales.

So could be the year and every dog has it's day. I've recently bought back in having sold out when it came clear they wouldn't hit targets (and the mess up with Giga).

I'm going to be honest... REDT achieved very little last year AND the year before but maintained its presence in certain key areas and didn't standstill. This could be the year things take-off but we are not alone and the competition will be tough.

So VRB’s are going to happen , the final hurdle before mass roll out in my view is showing they are totally economic to the end customer and today we are at that tipping point – this is no longer a cost to go green , but a profit by going green. And of course the good news is that in this space we have a UK Quoted company and a leader in its space – RedT

RedT had quite a tough year last year as things just took a little longer than expected and so the market got disappointed and also not helped by a major shareholder/director becoming seriously ill and so having to resign and sell some stock, but that is out of the way now and that was last year, this year the orders should come through thick and thin and start to gather momentum - when the happens the share price should rocket as who knows what a market leader in this space is worth – but I know plenty of Chinese groups to start with who would pay a fortune to acquire this Company !!

Shavian Yes the Redflow !!! they do a household model, the only problem is it emits poisonous bromine gas, it is kept under control but accidents do happen !!!

Immediate signs and symptoms of exposure to bromine

Breathing bromine gas could cause you to cough, have trouble breathing, get a headache, have irritation of your mucous membranes (inside your mouth, nose, etc.), be dizzy, or have watery eyes.
Getting bromine liquid or gas on your skin could cause skin irritation and burns. Liquid bromine that touches your skin may first cause a cooling sensation that is closely followed by a burning feeling.
Swallowing bromine-containing compounds (combinations of bromine with other chemicals) would cause different effects depending on the compound. Swallowing a large amount of bromine in a short period of time would be likely to cause symptoms such as nausea and vomiting (gastrointestinal symptoms).
Showing these signs and symptoms does not necessarily mean that a person has been exposed to bromine.

Long-term health effects of exposure to bromine

Survivors of serious poisoning caused by inhaling (breathing in) bromine may have long-term lung problems.
People who survive serious bromine poisoning may also have long-term effects from damage done by what is called systemic poisoning, for example, kidney or brain damage from low blood pressure.

Was just curious of others opinions that's all. We've had large volume this week and the only thing we know for sure that is coming up, are the NG auctions.

Advfn reporting is approximate . It indicates buy or sell at time of report not at time of the deal. But once a trade is over it's in the price ,the key thing is the resultant of all trades and step-asides, which is , drum roll, the price. Is the grid auction for real, if so how often.? There was no auction for Hinckley, can the big guys not simply add on or integrate our tech into what they are doing ?
